Good for Mark!!
Looks like we have an all day Nascar day tomorrow. Practice, Busch qualifying and the truck race. Happy day!!
I guess I will put up the new thread in the morning, if you can transfer your stats over. Norm wants a new thread for the 500. I agree it should be on it's own LIVE beginning with practice.
I prefer the 15 wins too!
My favorite is the girls curling.:)
Yes! Shelmardine made the 500! Wooo! yeee.

Lookin forward to this weekend fer shore. Daytona 500... the Superbowl of racing... the third sure sign of spring :o)
Go Smoke!
In case anyone was wondering here's a recap of Jr's XM radio show.
He come on and talked about the concept of the show. That Josh Snider will be his sidekick, but wasn't with him tonight. He has another friend, but sorry I can't remember his name. You can email on xm website or post on dalejr.com and ask questions every week. He talked about what he did over the off season. Not so much partying this year. Building the western town in the woods (a saloon and a hotel with a couple of rooms). Cause Willie Nelson has one and Willie's cool and he wants to get some cool points like Willie. They ran gocarts on both tracks at his house. Since Polaris is a sponsor, they did alot of 4-wheeling. They did alot of paintballing, but only in the middle of the night - no fun in the day. Thee's a creek in the middle they can't cross - more fun. Then they talked to Shane Huffman and Wes, his crew chief about the Hooters car and how Jr heard of Shane. The played part of a couple of songs - Foo Fighters' DOA and a commercial or two. Steve Crisp joined him and Jr then talked about how Steve Crisp is over most everything at J.R. Motorsports. Talked about how Mark McF tested good at Vegas. Richard Childress is supplying motors for Busch team and he's real excited about that because of the history with his Dad. Talked about Steve and him being together during his Busch days and how tight they were. They would go into Rockingham, stop at the grocery store and get loaf bread and peanut butter and jelly and go to the hotel and eat sandwiches and watch movies all weekend. His Dad would come in dressed for dinner and say "What the hell??". They would turn down a $55 prime rib for Sunbeam and Jiff !!!
The first question they took from the board was is the season too long. He wondered is it too long for the fans to keep their focus. He said he had talked to Martin about what he would face and how he used to burn out at the beginning. The next question was which rookie will win a race first. He said it was down to Clint Bowyer and Martin, but Martin has a better chance because of the team. He and Steve agreed they would both win races. He asked Steve who was the best broadcaster. Steve said Barney Hall. Jr said Barney is Cool. Jr.said best was 1979 Daytona race with Ken Squier and Chris Economacki. He likes the old races with his Dad when he was rookie. Jr likes Wally Dallanbach now as the best. Bennie is sort of like John Madden. Then he asked who is the least favorite. No one would answer for fear of retaliation!! Jr said he wouldn't answer, but someone in the background said if I hear Boogity, Boogity, Boogity one more time, I'll throw up and Jr agreed ! ! ! He said to email and let him know how the show can be improved. They did a good job.
Just so long as you love shoveling the snow too. I hope you don't disturb your neighbors with one of those noisy snow blowers like Peterbilt does.
Girls curling?? lol
Go Capt Kirk!!
The first duel was more exciting today than the second. Seems as though no one was bump drafting today except teammates.
Disturb my neighbors? Hell, I do their yards. I actually had to use reverse for the first time today. Did I mention it snowed last night and today? It certainly brings stupid to a whole new level on I-15.

My kind of winter sport. You play on ice, but it is inside. You don't wear skates. You actually kneel down when shooting, so it's not that far to fall! Have actually watched it for years.
Looks like Toyota is taking over.
Well, Toyota just doesn't give their trucks to just anybody like the American companies do, nor do they let the teams build their own trucks.
The girls curling calendar is more along the lines of Playboy this year.
I wonder what they will do with the Cup cars?
OH I like your new tagline!!
Dick Morris is saying Cheney was drunk, what a jerk!
Your better half probably will agree that the DE calendar is a better choice.
Mike Wallace on Nascar Live now, I wish Herm had made it in. He's working with a little team from Colorado, they gave it a good try though.
Welp, I need my beauty rest.....see you all tomorrow.
Hey, you can leave my relatives out of this. Further, I had a herd 'o twenty-something-year-old runners from Milwaukee come visit, who all wanted to go to "the mountains." At around 9000' one of em decided they wanted to race the old guy up the mountain. I put my cigarette out and told em they'd have to buy beer of my choice for the weekend if they lost.
All four of em agreed. (my 'thank you for not jogging' bumper sticker comes to mind...)
I did cook BBQ for them though. Their beer was wonderful. (You can purchase excellent beers from the package stores here.)
