That would only undo football rules going back to the beginning of time. The plane of the goal has always been part of the goal and the euclidean break of that plane a touchdown. The rule is precise and so is the ruling in this case. The ball broke the plane. Period.

Really???? All I have seen is that blurry picture (why it is so darn blurry is anybody's guess) that points to Ben's wristband as proof he crossed the plane. With a zillion of photographers and HD video cameras everywhere, there is not one shot that shows the ball in the endzone. The ref called the TD based mostly on Ben scooting the ball across the line after he was down. A slick move by Ben. But really Seattle can't bitch, because they let Pittsburgh get that close to begin with. Seattle can't expect the ref to spot the ball to the nearest inch, that just does not happen. But to say the Ball broke the plane is a fantasy that is not supported by the enormous amount of video evidence that is available.
