The ball broke the plane. Period.

Really???? All I have seen is that blurry picture (why it is so darn blurry is anybody's guess) that points to Ben's wristband as proof he crossed the plane. With a zillion of photographers and HD video cameras everywhere, there is not one shot that shows the ball in the endzone. The ref called the TD based mostly on Ben scooting the ball across the line after he was down. A slick move by Ben. But really Seattle can't bitch, because they let Pittsburgh get that close to begin with. Seattle can't expect the ref to spot the ball to the nearest inch, that just does not happen. But to say the Ball broke the plane is a fantasy that is not supported by the enormous amount of video evidence that is available.

I TIVOd it and so did quite a few others -- if you look at the original SB thread you will see posts by several people with HD TVs that saw the same as I: At the apex of his leap, Ben gets the nose of the ball over the plane.

But I agree that it is somewhat moot -- they won by 11 and were the better team on that day.

And it was a pretty crummy SB, overall.
