Wow- I really have a lot of respect for normal police officers, and despise a dirty cop even more than I do a terrorist...
Watching "The Shield" IS kind of like 'picking a scab' but I'm addicted to the darn show. Tonight's new episode was very intriguing, even moreso than usual.
Bunch of good actors in that show.
I just wish Vic and his team were completely honest. Other than being part time crooks, they are darn good cops.
Tonights show was even more intriguing than usual.... But the ending answered TOO many questions.
I don't know if it was explained in the episode, but why didn't Shane have a tail following him that night? Who could have given him that kind of out?
When Vic finds out that Shane didn't have a tail he will put 2 & 2 together. Shane told Vic he was late because he was trying to shake off his tail.
To me it looked like Kav only had himself and that other guy from AI to run the tail.
Thanks, I knew it was something simple.
I can't get enough of this show!
Are you in charge of the ping list for this thread?
If so, could you please add me to it?
TIA
No ping list on this that I know about. Sorry. Maybe someone that is a bigger fan than I will start one
Hill Street Blues may not have had "dishonest" cops, but J.D. Larue was a lush, as was the captain, who was sleeping with the public defender; Renko was a closet racist; and they had some other problems, which, for the day, made them far from "heroic."
I REALLY thought Vic would whack Kavanaugh in the last episode and possibly pin it on Aceveda or the black guy in jail (forget his name). That took me totally by surprise. Man, I don't know how they get out of this next year. I think for believability, this series surpasses "24," which I also like.
You'd think these people would take a lesson from Glenn Close's captain last season, who basically said, "Don't do anything illegal, and if you do, don't tell me. Now go get bad guys."
But unfortunately, I think this means the season only has one more run, because clearly, either Vic or Antoine Mitchell will kill Shane, then there is no more strike team. And Vic needs to arrange a double "suicide" featuring Kavanaugh and Dutch, maybe exposed in a gay love affair:)
I want to see a Jack Bauer/Vic Mackey team-up this year! Agent Bauer on special assignment to the LAPD detective squad.
Wow. I knew it's been awhile, but I didn't realize the last season ended a whole year ago!
By the way, the new season starts next Tuesday.

I’ve seen a couple of episodes... It’s ok, but I think I need to watch it from the beginning. Is it as good as Rescue Me (my favorite show)?

I can't believe they let him go out "honorably." Bleah!
