Seattle coach laments having to take on the guys in the striped shirts, too
DETROIT - No appreciation or consolation in Seattle for the Seahawks, at least not yet.
Nope, they were still stuck in frustration.
The post-Super Bowl parties went into early Monday morning as the Seahawks at least tried to celebrate their season, instead of their somber Sunday. Later, coach Mike Holmgren tried to refocus the team, momentarily, on what it had done and what it still may do.

And the Seahawks were still stinging from a few officials calls that went against them, such as Darrell Jacksons touchdown catch that was taken away by a penalty and a disputed TD run by Pittsburghs Ben Roethlisberger.
We knew it was going to be tough going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Holmgren told the fans at Qwest Field. I didnt know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well.

stay tuned, the fat lady ain't sung yet
From FoxSports:
"Roethlisberger told Letterman that he didn't think he scored on a controversial play in the second quarter that put the Steelers ahead for good 7-3. Roethlisberger dove toward the end zone but didn't appear to get the ball to touch the goal line. But officials on the field signaled touchdown. "I told Coach, 'I don't think I got in,'" Roethlisberger told Letterman."
Uh, no.
He does not agree with you.
He said at the time he didn't think scored .
Agreeing with you would be saying now that he did not score. He does not say that.
I never said he didn't score. Those are your words. The decision on whether he scored or not is a decision for the Refs. They blew that call bigtime.
I said: "Roethlisberger DID NOT make it into the end zone"
Roethlisberger said: "I don't think I got in,"
Sounds about the same to me. hehehehehehahahahaha
You've contradicted yourself. They called it a touchdown, and you say they blew the call, meaning you say it wasn't a touchdown, therefore, you say he didn't score.
And the quote was "I told coach 'I don't think I got in.'" At the time of the play, he didn't think so. Of course now he knows better.
I said:
"Roethlisberger DID NOT make it into the end zone" Roethlisberger agrees with me and he said: "'I don't think I got in.'"
I then said they blew the call. Which they did.
You can twist and spin with the best, mister slickwillie junior! Congrats. But I contradicted nothing. HAHAHAHAHAHEHEHEHEHE
You're pulling that quote out of context again. The entire quote is "I told coach 'I don't think I got in.'"
If you can't tell the difference, I cannot help you.
And you can be as pedantic as you like, but either you thought Roethlisberger's effort should have resulted in a touchdown, or you don't.
LOL No I'm not. Excluding Roethlisberger saying: "I told coach ", doesn't take anything away from his remark, "'I don't think I got in.'"
>>>>If you can't tell the difference, I cannot help you.
Its you who are making a BFD about nothing. hahahahahahaha geez
>>>>And you can be as pedantic as you like, but either you thought Roethlisberger's effort should have resulted in a touchdown, or you don't.
Pedantic?! LOL The fact is, it did result in a touchdown. A bad call by the Refs. Even Roethlisberger didn't think he made it into the endzone and for good reason. He didn't!
Sure it does. It defines when he thought that was true.
Is that the football, or someones arm? The football is in Roethlisberger's left arm.
If you can't tell, the ref couldn't either.
That's a touchdown.
Yeah, ""I told coach ", "'I don't think I got in.'", means he didn't think he got in at the time. Same thing I said. So what. Obviously, after the Refs called it a score, there was no reason for Roethlisberger to say he didn't get in. Except, that's exactly what he did say on national TV. He went on Letterman and repeated what he had said to the coach. And for what reason? Because he still believed, he didn't get in. LOL
Frankly, I still say the Refs blew it bigtime.
Not so. You said "Roethlisberger agrees with me..."
Not true.
As I predicted the NFL comes out late this afternoon and stands by their officials.
Looks like his right shoulder to me.
The ball is up and to the right, and is not in the plane of the end zone.
However, this may be a couple frames too late.
I kept looking at this freeze frame photo and all I saw was his right arm, his right wrist band, or right arm band. His right hand is up by his chest. No football.
The football is in his left arm, in the left wrist, left forearm area.
Wrong. The ball is in his right hand cradled against the inside of his right forearm.
