Seattle coach laments having to take on the guys in the striped shirts, too
DETROIT - No appreciation or consolation in Seattle for the Seahawks, at least not yet.
Nope, they were still stuck in frustration.
The post-Super Bowl parties went into early Monday morning as the Seahawks at least tried to celebrate their season, instead of their somber Sunday. Later, coach Mike Holmgren tried to refocus the team, momentarily, on what it had done and what it still may do.

And the Seahawks were still stinging from a few officials calls that went against them, such as Darrell Jacksons touchdown catch that was taken away by a penalty and a disputed TD run by Pittsburghs Ben Roethlisberger.
We knew it was going to be tough going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Holmgren told the fans at Qwest Field. I didnt know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well.

If you want to see what a loser looks like, find the closest mirror and have a look.
I've finally concluded that you're a nut and a whackjob.
Get help......you really need it.
All I need is for jerks like you to go away and stay away.
ROFL........
Thanks for your post.
I remember well. Mark May and Russ Grimm learned their fine art at my Alma Mater ...... Pitt.
;-)
If you saw the movie Home Alone, you wouldn't be saying that.
Actually I came here to refute the obnoxious postings of a single poster, the one who started this thread after trash talking and baiting for weeks. This thread was just a continuation of that, note his quick ping to all his fellow attack dogs.
I only posted to you in reply (until just now.) Not sure why you feel compelled to pick fights with windmills. For goodness sakes, your team just won, why not go on Steeler or Pittsburgh boards where they share your full throttle view of the win? Or call some friends or visit the bars or church or wherever numerous happy Steeler fans are that would be thrilled to relive and celebrate the win (and will be for a long time to come.) But if you starting barking overkill defensive hype, people are going to refute it. What's up with the "My name is Inigo Montoya. You criticized my Steelers. Prepare to die." attitude?
Seriously, hole_n_one is really trying to do you a favor. Lighten up and go enjoy yourself, do ya really want a heart attack from some meaningless debate about sports opinions on an internet chat thread? I don't think your pretty niece would be pleased with that result. C'mon, ya got too much to live for to let us internet dolts get your goat!
You still here? Still got the sharp stick out?
Time to put it away before you wind up getting it stuck in your own eye.
Hardly...... he's totally correct. He's been as nice as humanly possible!
I have tried that. It wasn't until post #4 that a jerk came along with comments about the officials being on a float for the Steelers victory parade. Post #6 got a similar reply. And remember, this was a STEELER VICTORY PARADE THREAD.
So you can't keep the loonies off the path. They will seek you out anywhere to destroy your joy in your team winning. They seem to take great delight in it.
Hole_n_one was poster #4 on that thread. Look at him, still agitating. And he wondered why I got mad at that comment.
Yeah, a real charmer.
That '95 game wasn't Cowher's fault. It was his QB throwing costly interceptions (almost happened again in XL...can't imagine what was going throw Cowher's mind after that INT in the red zone).
I'm not sure whether to be amused by these threads, or despondent. The Seahawks played well except when it counted. The Steelers played poorly except when it counted. The refs were poor at all times.
---- ROFL. Just the fact that you refer to decent Steeler fans and other football enthusiasts on my ping list as "attack dogs" illustrates clearly what a raving fool you are acting like. You're off base. You are usually not so irrational.
See post # 154.............. it's an attempt at reason.
Oh no, D E. S......
I'm a troll from DU.
Just ask the newbie......he'll tell you.
Will the refs of SB XL be riding the same float in the victory parade as the Steelers team or is there going to be one made especially for them?
Above is post no. 4 on the "Steelers: Bettis Closes With Storybook Ending" thread. By Mr. hole_n_one.
Congrats Jerome you were given a championship.
Above is another post by Mr. Echo Talon from the same thread. hole_n_one made sure he pinged me on it so he could sit back and watch the fireworks.
So this is the kind of crap that goes on at FR. And I'm supposed to like it?
Yeah, and it gives them more delight when responded to enough to make it clear that they were able to piss you or I off.
Hey, I admit to responding to such (this thread being a case in point) but I'm not letting it get me down and will now move on. Some good refutations of nonsense and then it is in my rear view mirror. Seriously, this stuff seems to really get you ticked for an extended period, and that can't be good for the health. There are always going to be blowhards and kooks. A little refutation to expose them and then after that it is just wasted time. Most people see them for what they are or what they say. And if lots of people are still debating about the game, then maybe, just maybe, there might be something to complaints about the quality of the ref's. Like many people said, that ain't the Steelers' fault, its the ref's fault. But all those arguments won't change who won, or that ya'll have another championship banner now. So who cares if people debate the game?
Some people debate whether or not we landed on the moon. Ya think Neil Armstrong lets that detract from his satisfaction and memories? The win may not have unfolded the way you wanted it to, but ya still won. Same thing for my Texas Longhorns, but I'll take it and love the etching in history that can't be changed, no matter what others say. Time to move on.
And you were a darn good screen grabber, too, in your prime. But I think ya peaked with the rally monkey year, and its been downhill ever since...
Only my dad is called Mr. hole_n_one.
Right On.
Some of these people seem like the kind of people who will come over to your house for a very nice dinner party and purposefully burn a cigarette hole in your couch or spill their cranberry juice all over your expensive carpet.
They're just unhappy souls trying consciously or unconsciously to rain on the parade............. or, they're just plain ignorant of the game of football.
See post #195, please, and give me a comment.
