For the most part, it seemed to me that the commercials weren't as good this year as in years past. Did anyone feel the same way?
I thought the best, IMO, was the Budweiser "Magic Refrigerator".

The commercials were pretty lame - some made no sense and tried to tittilate the viewer with idiotic promises of sex, others were crass. The FedX one with the cavemen was kind of funny and the Bud commercials were all pretty decent.
Overall, they were about as exciting as having the aged Stones on stage.

It seemed like there were a lot of movie ones this year actually.
Of course I can't even remember who played in last years Super bowl, so i doubt my memory of the commercials is all that accurate either ;)
I agree with the Magic Refrigerator one as well. I was also a fan of the Streaking Sheep one.

I had the impression that Jagger would never make it on "American Idol", and the band members that knew about three cords on their guitars wasn't much better. However, they did make a lot of noise to cover up for the lack of their ability to entertain.

Yeah, it was a close call between that one and the "Magic Refrigerator".

I thought of some past advertisers that sat out this year and found it interesting:
- Miller Lite
- Coke
- Coors
- AIG
- Tabasco
- Dominos
I am sure there are others. The most notable was Coke. Pepsi clearly missed the incentive as their commercials were pedestrian at best.
Most disgusting - Shaq's reference to a dead baby on some lame show. Real party material that was.

Commercials where ok - magic frig was cute - I tuned in for about 10 seconds of the Stones and couldn't take any more - what was with Stevie Wonder and his "we must have peace or we will all be annihilated" song.

It seemed to me that there were more network ads than usual. The Dove ad seemed out of place.

The on the roof commercial bothered me because there were NO GUTTERS ON THEIR HOUSE!!!! That wife was reallllllly ignorant.
I liked the Magic Refrigerator.

Although there were a couple of clever commercials, in no way do even the best of this year stand up to the standard of the past. The FedEx one was funny and the Bud ones were good, but honestly, even those do not stand out as ones to remember for years to come
Blah, just kinda Blah

This year the game was actually pretty good (some weird calls and missed opportunities that would have turned the game around), but the commercials were mostly lame.
