Now Pitching for Scientology: Katie Holmes
Fox ^ | February 3, 2006 | Roger Friedman

Well, it's happened. Katie Holmes is now shilling for Scientology.

I told you one year ago this week that I had received an unsolicited gift package in the mail from the Church of Scientology.

It included a personalized, signed note from Tom Cruise, informing me that a donation had been made in my name to the organization.

The package also included a framed set of Scientology lessons to live by. The most memorable was No. 12: Never fear to hurt another in a just cause.

Now I've seen the updated package for 2006, and it's a showstopper. The signed note now comes from Tom and Katie, and it includes both of their signatures.

Like the old letter, this one informs lucky recipients that donations have been made in their names to Scientology and welcomes them to check out all the included materials.

I agree it will be over in a couple of years, per contract, but I doubt she'll be allowed to go public if she wants to receive her part of the bargain.

What makes this news?

Nothing, really. It just gives all of us "South Park" fans a chance to come out and have fun with one of the best episodes (they TRASHED Scientology) they've done in a while.

Recreation, if you will.

In defense of scientologist, I haven't seen them be-heading anyone lately.

Sure they apparently had/have RPF and sure they sue everybody, but few murders that I am aware of.

Of course, Charles Manson was an early scientologist of sorts . . . .

Google for "Fishman Affidavits" and read OTVIII.

(The alleged secret teachings. Your creepy feeling will turn to abject horror.)

Now Pitching for Scientology: Katie Holmes

She won't be on my fantasy team.

I love the VH1 contention that the Pitt-Jolie baby and the Cruise-Holmes baby will grow up to be the messiah and the anti-christ, respectively, and do battle in what will be the end of the world.

Right click on the Properties.

It's from an anti-S'ology site.

Only if she wants to have her career permanently destroyed, and face other retaliatory measures. This organization is ruthless, and makes sure it is in a position to blackmail any member it really values.

Blackmail is much more effective than murder. Dead people can't recruit new members, to have their assets plundered and brains scrambled into devoting their lives to making Scientology bigwigs richer.

When these people are on their death beds, they'll magically embrace Christ.

Who is Katie Holmes?
Tom Cruise's latest beard.

Oh, Allegra. That was naughty.

Good for them.

Go read the parable of the "good servant" (you know, the ones that got up at 5am who got mad at the master for giving the losers who showed up at 4pm the same wage).

It's a reminder of whose business such matters are.
