Heh, dummies dream.

Can you imagine the crows of triumph when Klutz takes a bit of a dip come summer? Heh.

We have 164 folks that have folded 1,000 points and are working toward their next goal.

Remember, we thump DU. That's just what we do.

My goal is to be in the top 10% of all folders.

I'm at 17.4% right now.

Onward and upward!

I'm on the board with my first WU!

:-D

The second one I received is massive. Amber core. 500 frames.
WU ends Feb 12.

Was I added to the ping list yet?

Good lord. What type of fantasy world does mike live in? Oh nevermind... he's a DU member :) They may be clocking up position wise, but we're still outproducing them 3:1. Gap... what Gap?

Hehehe... btw, I added another 90cpus today. Should give us a nice boost by Monday or so.

I've been teasing them.... still have about 600 or so lab computers that I can bring online, but I've been "pacing" myself, so to speak....

Hi

What is "Queue info" about?

I have one queue running.

I don't know any specifics about that... unless you are running off-line and trying to batch up work units, you should only have one queued item at a time.

All I can find is this:

queue.dat – This dat file is the que of WUs waiting to be turned in plus info on your current WU

from a thread at ExtremeOverclocking.com.

Thank you.
I only have one running, in #3 queue.
*shrug*

Now that I've actually done a WU, I can see that it takes a bit of time to process the results of the information transfers.

normal workunits, you should only have 1 in the queue, because it's downloaded in one piece, and worked on, then uploaded. If you're in queue 3, that means that you've already had two downloaded, worked on, and uploaded, whatever the results, or, if you've already done 10 workunits, it means that you're on your 13th, or 23rd, or ....

Queue's come into play, if you've selected timeless work units, where only portions of the workunit are downloaded at a time, you work on one, the results are saved, then you go onto the next. Once you start the next, the results from the previous queue are uploaded.

But this should only be used for EXTREMELY slow workstations, or those that are turned on and off several times a day, and aren't processing 24x7, or those that have sporadic internet access.

Like I said, I'm not sure exactly how the queue info is set up. I checked all of my machines and they are all also on the #3 queue. It's probably just one of those things....

I think he means there's one in queue #3, not 3 in queue. It's the one he's working one. This machine I'm on has it in Queue #6.

I've got one pentium II folding, and I set it to timeless workunits... it always has 3-5 queues loaded, when it finishes a segment, it moves onto the next, and downloads another. It's the only one I've got like that, but on Monday, I'll take a closer look at how it's working. (ie, read the logs, to see exactly what it's doing).
