Q: About a year ago, I made the heart-wrenching decision to leave a great job, house, friends and family to move to Hawaii with my fiancé.
As part of this transition, I also chose to have my two beloved chow chow dogs put to sleep.
I adored those dogs, but I justified their sacrifice to the greater good of a successful relationship.
After six months, I am still tormented by memories of my dogs. The depths of anguish and loss make me think I got rid of them for purely selfish reasons, which is the kind of behavior I thought I reviled. I feel that I have gone from dog-lover to dog-killer in one trans-Pacific flight.
A: I am truly sorry you feel so wracked with guilt about your decision to put your dogs to sleep.

This is outrageous, I hope this woman suffers for the rest of her life.I agree. I might bump off a girlfriend because she didn't like my animals...but to kill innocent pets...that's sick. :)

If she bought them from a breeder my bet is the breeder would take them back. If not, there are breed rescue organizations available for most dog breeds. I don't understand how vets do convenience euthanasias. I'm a vet and there is no way I'd ever put down a healthy animal, excepting the vicious ones.

"What some women will do for a man---unbelievable."
Something tells me that the man was just a rationale, for an ugly thought that had been lurking for a while.

may this woman rot in hell.

Love me, love my dogs. No ifs, ands or buts, as far as I'm concerned. If I'm ever forced to give them up, and it would have to be something incredibly serious for me to even consider it, the last thing on my mind would be to kill them. Really. I can't imagine a woman putting to death 2 healthy dogs that have been loyal pets in order to be with somebody else, especially when they could have been given to a loving home.
And from a guy's perspective, if a woman said to me "you know Muffy and Fluffy? I'm having them killed so nothing will come between you and me!", I'd say "Uhhh, thanks but no thanks, and please don't call me again. You are a creepy freak. Get some help. Goodbye."

Maybe he or she didn't, just told this soulless automaton-on-a-manhunt that they had been.

I would dump any girl who had her dogs put down for no reason. "Get your dog murdering ass back on that plane and lose my phone number!"

I agree.
I have Buford, a 15-lb brown Tabby.
Trust me, he's not fat. He is one large and strong cat.
He's block-headed, intelligent, independent-minded and sassy. Been that way since he was a kitten and he's now 7 1/2 years old.
If my current girlfriend said "It's either me or Buford", I'd have to tell her good-bye.
To: nodumbblonde
Thank goodness she didn't have children from a previous relationship to contend with. :\Remember that woman in South Carolina - Susan Smith - who killed her two little boys because her lover didn't want children?

Why didn't she take them to a rescue or animal shelter so they could adopted.Because that would require responsiblity and maturity on her part which she obviously doesn't possess
