Welcome to the OFFICIAL Friday/Saturday Night Singles' Thread
January 27th and 28th, 2006
"We're Gonna Have a Good Time Tonight...Let's Celebrate...It's All Right!"
In store for tonight:
I read a fascinating article in the February 2006 issue of Popular Mechanics entitled "The Flying Luxury Hotel." Rather than a cruise ship, it functions as a cruise craft -- but the potential for this new aircraft also extends to military and commercial freighting applications. More information can be found here. Let me know what you think!
Further thoughts:
What is/are your pet peeve(s)?

Mom and Dad have gone on a diet, and unfortunately, that means I have, too. I'm sick of low-fat diet junk!! I'm young and skinny, so why do I have to get roped into these things? Well, you could cook something else? Around here they have a business that is called "Dine-In-Out". They will deliver food from the local restraunts, sort of like a pizza delivery but with real food (but pizza is still a favorite). Or go out by yourself and eat a good meal. I know, it was awkward at first going out by myself when my husband first died, but now I am getting more used to the idea. Not nearly as much fun though I know. (And usually I have my little boy with me).

Oops, I mean "Dine-Out-In". It is even free delivery if you give them food for the local food bank. So its a nice trade off, "real food" delivered for a few cans of food.

lol - of course! Sorta like halftime with the football game, you know.

I'm helpless when it comes to the kitchen. The only foods I know how to make are toast, cereal, and I guess peanut-butter sandwiches.
Sometimes I go out by myself to eat, but that usually makes Mom and Dad incredibly jealous. Not to mention that that's just not something you can do all the time. Especially since I'm unemployed and penniless; I can't afford it.
Actually, I love going out by myself to places. It's like freedom, only better. But I've always been kind of a reclusive weirdo, so don't take my advice.

Speaking of shows, I have to ask if anyone has watched the American version of "The Office" on NBC. Its ratings have not been very good but I think it's one of the funniest and best shows on TV right now.

Nope. I haven't really watched any network sitcoms since Head of the Class and The Wonder Years were canceled.

Well, The Wonder Years...I can understand that.
Still, The Office is hilarious. I don't understand why more people aren't tuning in. I guess because it's a remake and people don't think it will be as good as the original.

Not much. Has it been a wild Friday night in here?
To: scott7278
Well, normally I don't either. But it depends on the quality of the show.

I'll just talk to you here instead of the cartoon thread.
It has not been a very wild Friday here. At least not yet.

Okay. I don't know how to make it wild. I'm not one to liven up a party. LOL!
To: tuliptree76
Me either. I guess we can just play it by ear.
