I read a fascinating article in the February 2006 issue of Popular Mechanics entitled "The Flying Luxury Hotel."  Rather than a cruise ship, it functions as a cruise craft -- but the potential for this new aircraft also extends to military and commercial freighting applications.  More information can be found here.  Let me know what you think!

Well, if this is something you really want to do....

I've heard Washington is actually conservative, it's just that the city people (Seattle and suburbs) aren't. The population in Seattle is what votes for the entire state.

I suppose I was just concerned because it didn't appear you were too excited. If it's what you want to do, go for it!

Heh...sometimes excitement doesn't come across well in text. ;-)

And I'm still fighting a little with pride, as I mentioned. Feel like I shouldn't be moving on since I haven't made a big success of things here. But really, I have no connections here or anything. And though it's a pretty place, so is the area where I'll be living. AND I'll be able to have a garden and stuff if all goes well! That's a MAJOR plus, in my book. There are only so many things one can grow in pots on a balcony. I miss the little herb garden I had back home, and my marigolds! Little things like that make a huge difference, ya know? To me, anyhow.

Man, I really feel for you. At my old apartment, the people across the way from me had some very immoral parties going on, and I won't go into detail.

I slept soundly (my bedroom was in the back) while the poor lady below them repeatedly was awakened -- the sheriff was no help, either; supposedly he partied with them when he took the call one night.

I don't know why they weren't evicted.

Evicting people is extremely hard, from what I've heard. All the laws regarding eviction protect tenants.

This guy just likes loud music with a lot of language I'd rather not hear. We could call the police, I suppose, but I'm always unsure whether I'm just overly sensitive or if it's really that bad. I mean...I never did the college dorm thing, so I don't know what's kinda normal.

If only I could figure out a way to get my bagpiper brother here to pipe in some music at about five AM without bothering any other tenants... Bwahahahah!

It was about 0 this morning but mid 30s all week.

The only drawback with the warm weather is the mud.

I`ve been wanting to get back into the woods to clean up some down trees but I don`t want to tear the fields up.
