PITTSBURGH Jan 24, 2006 To coach Bill Cowher, the Pittsburgh Steelers simply look right in white.
The Steelers will buck years of tradition and wear their white away uniforms in the Super Bowl against Seattle, even though they are designated by the NFL as the home team and could wear their more imposing black jersey tops.
The black jerseys and gold pants are the Steelers' traditional look, and numerous sports teams have switched to black uniforms in recent years because they believe it creates a more intimidating presence.

White seems to work for them. At least it did in Denver.

I think it looks better than the Steeler black and Seahawks' CFL road uniforms.
I wonder if ABC had dropped a hint.

I think it's a good psychological move. White jerseys have been good for them the last few weeks, help keep the road warrior mentality.

What seems to work for them is the fact that they have gone against sub-par to mediocre defenses. lets take a look
Cincinnati Ranked #28th Defense overall #26th Pass defense.
Indianapolis Ranked #11th Defense overall #15th Pass Defense
Denver Ranked 15th Defense overall #29th Pass Defense
now they play Seattle..
17th ranked overall Defense and 25th Ranked Pass Defense...

Seems a bit silly to me but if they think it'll help them so be it.

I really like this color combo.

not really Carolina is ranked as the #22 overall offense. Not that huge of an achievement. The Bears corners falling down gave Carolina more hype than what they deserved. The first time they played they only score 3 points.
