It is a pathetic show. that is for sure/

How to make it a hit? Convert the characters to Islam, center everything around a mosque, and add a laugh track.

It is both disrespectful and B-O-R-I-N-G by most accounts.

"The real objection is that it's just not very good." Neither is Hollywood anymore. They are so divorced from reality.
I don't spend my money on traitors, freaks and perverts anymore.

"The real mark against 'The Book of Daniel' is not any antipathy it might show toward the family or sympathy for the devil," wrote The New York Times. "The real objection is that it's just not very good." Suuuuuuure.
I guess they will try again, with another show that tries to make a mockery of Christianity -- but next time, they will make it a quality show.

"Ratings for the controversial drama dropped 23 percent Friday among adults 18-49 versus its Jan. 6 premiere."
Whoa, didn't see THAT one coming.
A better way of putting it would be: "Ratings for the controversial drama were inflated 23 percent among morbidly curious adults 18-49 in its Jan.6 premiere, until they went back to doing what they were doing before..."

from the link: "Ratings for the controversial drama dropped 23 percent Friday among adults 18-49 versus its Jan. 6 premiere. With a 2.2 mark, the show lost 36 percent of its "Dateline" lead-in. (Viewers declined by two million, or 29 percent, compared to the week before.)"
So it looks like it hurt Dateline, as well.

Uh, yeah. It has low ratings (DOT) and that's why it's being cancelled. It has nothing to do with the fact that it slams religion (DOT)
Gee, you'd think sooner or later someone at the networks would connect the DOTS.

And [the LORD] changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

He revealeth the deep and secret things (yea, which television shows sucketh): he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

When it comes to TV programming to the lowest common denominator, ya gotta wonder how low is low.
IMHO, this program answers that question.

NBC'S "THE BOOK OF DANIEL" may be off the air soon--more because of Nielsen issues than sins against a higher power. Yeah, a few tens of millions of Christians who refuse to watch it couldn't have anything to do with those ratings.
