Is it just me or does it seem like Iran is picking a fight?
If so, what is their motivation?
Do they already have the bomb, and hope to use our attack as cover for a launch on Israel? our troops in the region? wave of prestaged terror here?
Are they trying to use an external enemy to solidify power and to distract an increasingly hostile populace?
Are they simply trying to find the boundaries of Western will in general, and American will in particular? The risk for us being that if we don't have the will to finish this war, the lesson for the islamists is don't strike again until you can do so with a mortal blow.

Yes... they are thanks to the 24/7 message of weakness and division transmitted by the libs. They know any military action will be a tough sell.
Additionally, the Dems will now claim we can't take on the "real threat" of Iran due to being bogged down in Iraq. We have the country surrounded for pete's sake.

Iran is following Saddam's playbook with the international community. It needs time and space to develop and test its nukes, and knows that the Euroweasel diplomats are easily cowed into submission.
It seeks nukes to become a regional power. Baghdad and Tel Aviv are its first targets, but just the *threat* of a nuclear strike will increase its influence in the region.
Today a shooting incident was reported among Iranian and Iraqi border patrols.
My thoughts are that if ONE MORE jerk gets on TV and spouts the "We are not prepared for war with Iran......we are overextended....blah blah blah" I'm going to lose it!

Some are some aren't. They voted in that hard line dingbat despite having other choices. Unfortunately Arab propaganda seems to having an effect.
They are establishing the political ground work to attack Israel, much as the Third Reich did against Poland.
They know that in the current geoppolitical environment, the world's media organizations will not contenance an attack on Iran for any reason, so they probably figure now is the time to push the envelope of their tyranical ways as far as they can.

And the timing couldn't be worse with Sharon out of the picture and Israel's political future in limbo. The devil is working overtime, IMO. We need to send lots of prayers asking God to guide and protect our President and his administration. These are dangerous times, folks.

I'll bet many in their government would love to throw out a couple of their bosses, set them selves up for leadership positions in the "new" government, benefit from hundreds of billions of American tax dollars, and ultimately cut some sweetheart deals with "foreign investors" for their cut the "oil profits."
