Considering the production and distribution costs, it has quite a ways to go before it breaks even.
Even more distirbing is they give an award to a movie about Palestinian homicide bombers. These people are sick, sick , sick.
"We all have the right to NOT go to a movie."
Absolouteley. I could care less about the movie. What I do care about is the seemingly unending stream of MSM propoganda that flows about this film. The media pumps almost every article about the movie with lies, distortions and omissions that lead people to believe the movie is something different that it is and was made for a different reason than it was.
[But I hope that the Emmys don't snub Kiefer again for "24"]
They will. But holy mama, the first four hours this year were great too. Just the best.
Have you seen the movie? It is not pro-terror.
I thought Donald Sutherland played a Democrat and Speaker of the House. Geena's character is an "independent", right?
You think they'll use their statues for further sodomy?
Be like every good Freeper and don't post a disapproval post again?
the homo agenda is just part of the framework working to destroy this country. we will have a very hard time ever electing a conservative again. the slippery slope is getting steeper...
"The most depraved woman always wins."
Sorry, can't use the Globe Awards to justify this one:
Winner:
sold marijuana.
Among the Losers:
1 committed adultery and became preggo by her teenage lover
1 refused to interfere in suicide she could have stopped= manslaughter?
About the whole concept, that many people seem to miss.
The awards are given for ACTING.
It is probably not easy to realistically portray a character not yourself. Case in point:
Felicity Huffman as a transsexual man.
If you pull it off, you are considered a good actor.
Although the subject may be disgusting to you, the simple solution is to not watch the movie. Patronize Narnia and other Christian-themed movies. This creates a demand for movies that satisfy your moral needs. If the goal is to prevent "objectionable" movies from getting made, the best solution is to eliminate demand for them.
Do you want Big Brother to step in and regulate content?
Better think twice about that one.
Why do shows like Seventh Heaven, Touched by an Angel, Joan of Arcadia get cancelled? Conspiracy? Try the allmighty dollar.
Many posting here are pretty riled up by "sodomizing, disgusting butt munchers". If the movies were just about sodomizing and butt munching, they probably wouldn't be winning awards. Some people are going to these movies despite the sodomizing and butt munching. Maybe its the acting? Maybe it's because there is so much HATRED bandied about in forums like these that people think that if the topic can generate hatred, it must be important.
Jesus teaches to hate the sin but love the sinner. People posting on this web site, calling themselves Christians, clearly hate the sinners. To me, this seems hypocritical.
you still come in here and reply about our disdain for certain things. What is the point of replying to us if your solution is to ignore things that annoy you? Seems to be hypocritical or short sighted or misguided or something.
Doesn't make sense to me. What we do bothers you enough to post a remark against it, suggesting that we just not pay any mind to something, perhaps you ought to take your own advice.
I was interested in the answers I would get. It didn't "bother" me - nothing on these threads does, really - but it's just interesting that people get so exercised about a MOVIE. :)
These awards are a bunch of poop.
I also heard that the ratings for Daniel were dismal. Things are looking up!
She's an independent and was picked by the late Republican President to 'balance' the ticket. Donald Sutherland was a close ally of the former President and is a Republican and considers the Presidency rightfully his after she reneged on a promise to resign when she heard the Speaker say someting misogynst.
Idiocy. The judges have clearly had too many "Golden Globes" hit them in the chin.
