How could it have gotten the Golden Globes when it doesn't have any globes in it?

I don't go anymore, and haven't for awhile.

And Hollywood? FYI, shepherds/sheep herders are not cowboys.

The awards are meaningless. I don't think Narnia got anything but has out-grossed Broke Back by $230,000,000 and both have been out 6 weeks.>>>

Try HALF A BILLION DOLLARS!

They can stick those Golden Globes where the sun don't shine.

Does she actually think we are "checking her out" in this picture?

I certainly added to Narnia's total this weekend. :))

The 'decent ones' are the ones that are financing the agenda-driven ones.

Money the public pays to see Narnia helps offset the losses of Brokeback.

I have long held the view you suggest. However, though perhaps it's my cynicism, but I wonder if Hollywood makes such movies as "Chronicles" - which thus far has grossed over $540 million - just so they can subsidize the other propaganda dreck they cram down us?

Hollywood is WAY out of touch with the rest of us. WHO listens to them and who cares, I wonder what the ratings were this year for this event. Did anyone watch it?

I can't imagine too many straight eighteen-year-olds wanting to see "Homos on the Range."

Hollywood = Homo on the Range

HoooooMoooo on the range,
Where the queer and the gerbil both play,
Where often is heard,
A "Fabulous" word,
And the sheepherders eat pudding all day.

Unconfriemd Hollywood report that Mel Brooks' new film is called "Broken Tuchus"

I have been to a movie theater about five times in the past ten years. I would consider two of those movies decent.

I realize it may be detox to some people, but not going to the movie theater is not a difficult thing. :]

I really see Hollywood for the bad acting and hype they are full of.

Think of the money one can save... Buying movie tickets supports liberal and socialist endeavors.

It is true. :]

Doesn't work.

They simply use the huge profits from those films that you do see to subsidize the ones that you can't stand.

And thats how it works. - You still pay for them to produce this crap.

HAHA isn't that the truth. These awards are all about praising themselves even if the people who go to the films hate their crap!

Hollywood would rather push their warped agenda and reflect their corrupt values than make wholesome, family oriented movies. Even if they are profitable.

Absolutely true. So much more money could flow into Hollywood, if they just made the movies that most people want to see. But they don't. They have a "business model" which is not aimed at money. The Leftists and the Pink Mafia that run the studios care only for their agenda.

Uhh Hollywierd keeps changing everyday. Unfortunately it's for the worse. Brokedick mountain gets awards?
With a thought pattern like that, no wonder the Hollywierd type are against the war and America!

Welcome to our little group (the wife and I). We haven't been to a theater since "Dances With Wolves" in 1990.

There's nothing we ever want to see so why bother. I guess that makes us 'sticks-in-the-mud' but what the heck!

Don't suggest that for goodness sake, they will be doing it next year on the screen and that one will be winning Oscars.
