Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Can you give a call here? Want to talk about wireless routers before Rosie places this order.

Thank you, girlfriend ... I try.
Tall, you say? Foine, you say? Older, you say?
He didn't look like this by any chance, did he?
To: Rose in RoseBear

<laughing!>Each time I parked, I got out of the car and walked around it, checking to see if it was sufficiently straight!
It's an okay job, though I was getting claustrophobia on the call floor ... everyone is very closely packed together. It's not a sardine can, but that description's not too far off.
But there's a new development now ... see my next post.

I gathered it was Tom Selleck...but I don't think I've ever seen a movie he starred in.

If he says something along the lines of "Trust me!" or, "I need your help!", duck.
Duck? According to Freeper 24 Protocol it's DRINK.

Meanwhile, I got another catalogue from Burpee. ....must...have....marigolds....must....have....marigolds...

I got marigold seeds today! They were on sale at the hardware store. Got zinnias, too - I figure I'll put those in pots.
To: osagebowman
Sure. As long as it isn't tequila. :-)

It looks like the same catalog...just with a different cover. It's got zinnias on it.
To: RosieCotton
I love marigolds. Happy flowers, happy plants, happy sights, happy smells, happy memories. Can't go wrong with marigolds.

And you can save the seeds so easily! Just pinch off the dead blossoms and toss 'em in a brown paper sack for the next year's planting!
