Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good evening to you! (Or rather afternoon, I suppose...where you are!)
How'd it go?
I'm cooking pork chops in the 'lectric skillit and come rice. Maybe I'll try making gravy, but that is Steve's specialty...
Sigh...Steve's working on TDT.

We have that episode. LOL! Karateboy loves it! It's the episode that gave me an appreciation for Shemp - even though he was no Curly. :-)

My front door finally opens for the first time in 3 days! I can't imagine being iced in like that, chica. *shiver*
But at last the thaw has arrived!

It's been something. The girls haven't been out of their coop since Friday. I got another frozen and busted egg...but one that seems ok. Probably laid today.
Supposed to re-freeze tonight, then really thaw tomorrow.

Watchin' curling here. What a fascinating little game. After this match we'll watch Doom. It's got Karl Urban in it.

Things are going fine here :~D Today at the big thrift store sale Rosie found a new slipcover for my old couch, and she found some pictures, odds and ends, and some dishes.
She's over there now getting things organized and trying to make it feel like home. She can't really move in yet, the landlord has to get the stove hooked back up and replace the refrigerator, and put a faucet in the tub. The water works now, but it's just a copper pipe coming out of the wall - A bit too rustic ;~D.
Hopefully he'll do that soon.

I'm still in mental preparation for the regular use of terms like "freezing", "snow" and "ice". *smile*
I like "thaw". It signals warmth.

Big'ol keeps saying it is the only way geeks could make it to the Olympics. It's a thinking game. Lots of strategery.
