New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I'm back!
I did get lost on the way there - I took the exit onto 512, which is what I was supposed to do...but then ended up in the left lane, which immediately put me back on I-5. Why they even *have* that lane, I don't understand - it's just a loop!
So I got off at the next exit, wandered in more or less the right direction, and then found a gas station where I could call for better directions. I got there, eventually.
Jacinta is adorable! It was really neat getting to meet her...held her for a long time after dinner. And once again, I'm just amazed that Ben found such a great family. Really awesome folks they are. So I had a good time. And next time, I won't get lost...
Glad the interview seemed to go well. How many inquiries have you made for other jobs, or were you waiting to arrive a get settled a bit, first?
I've applied for other jobs - just kinda applying as I see them.
My camera is still somewhere in the midst of all my stuff...so I didn't get any pictures. Got to look at some, though. I was supposed to take some back, but I forgot them, of course.
Guess I'll have to go back. Aw, shucks. ;-)
ROFL! you gotta keep your wits about ya in dire times as this, and you are doing wonderfully!
I got to the website, but the video didn't want to play. I got the logo screen, clicked on the video title, the screen went black, then every few seconds, it would click like it was trying to start, but it never did.
Yeah...saw 'em. May check into the one in Tacoma...the other stuff is kinda far.
I know, I'm chicken...
I'm really hoping I can find something in Olympia. But we shall see, I guess. Can't rule out other stuff, though the drive to Tacoma would get old, what with traffic and all.
hmmm, Bixby #1 34:1000, Broken Arrow #2 26:1000. Union had 13:1000, and Muskogee had 6:1000.
offenses were tobacco and drugs.
Saw that. His name was Montgomery something-or-other.
It's not a matter of chicken-ness. Traffic is a pain!
Naval base...I don't think I remember that one.
But there aren't any naval bases nearby...so it's likely farther than I'd wanna go.
Fort Lewis could work, though. I'm keeping an eye on USAjobs.com for those.
There's been about four inches of snow so far tonight, I think. So Mr. Beepy's friends apparently decided to ride the storm out with him.
And I called maintenance on him not ten minutes ago and now they've lowered their volume... grr... he'll never get caught.
Maybe they called him and told him to turn it down.
I hope that lets you poke around in dark and musty old buildings. Maybe you'll find some "historic artifact", like leftover C4.
Maybe you could also arrange a trip to the secret Army museum at Ft Bragg, where they have one (or several) of every piece of weaponry, uniforms, vehicles, etc. the Army ever used. Most still new-in-the-box.
Sounds great g'nad.... hope you get it. :~D
I'll be praying for ya with regards to the new job. I can see how nights would get very old!
And twice the pay is nothing to sneeze at...
Two to four tonight (I'm not sure how much more, it looks like we have close to four already) and then maybe an inch more tomorrow. As long as the roads are clear Friday morning!
Sigh. I have been wrassling this homework so long, my brain is fried. I almost think I'm making progress, though. Maybe I can go to bed now.
Betcha they turn it up again at two or so.
Lucky that you can sleep through that!
I'm not gonna miss him...
That's possible... not likely though. I didn't tell them which apartment it was since I'm not sure of the number, but they may know him already. And usually the maintenance person walks over and bangs on doors. I'm guessing phone numbers are only stored in the office. Whatever, other than loud thumping he's gotten quieter.
