Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

The place *needs* bright!
To: Corin Stormhands; g'nad
You bet, always room for one more. :-)
To: Corin Stormhands
Fascinating...
To: Rose in RoseBear
I think it'll be fun.
The whole place could use plenty of bright color! That'll be the overall theme, I guess...
Browsing Craigslist for free / next-to-free furnishings. Not doing too bad there, either. My stuff won't be fancy, but that's OK.
And maybe I can paint it all in garish colors. ;-)

You sayin' he ain't human?
To: Corin Stormhands
That's really disturbing, man.

Rose might have a job interview tomorrow. Don't know what time, what location, or what the job is, though.
Prayers requested... really, really need 'em.

Actually it sounds very retro. I lived with a friend for several months before she got married to help her fix up her late Mom's house, where they were going to live. We did the bathroom using a wallpaper with black background and hot pink and bright orange flowers, and wainscoting painted hot pink.
Remember this was the early 70's. It was WAY cool!

Heh, I'm sure that bathroom would have rated a mention in his book if he'd ever seen it. ;o)

Found a microwave at the thrift store today, too, BTW.
Looks to be a really nice one, but it was priced the same as the tiny ancient one they had. Fifteen dollars. Might have found one for less at a garage sale, maybe, but I like this one.

Ooh...this is it!
I knew it had to be a pretty good one...guess I got a bargain, no?

Wow, nice deal!
And thanks! :) We'll be praying for your interview, too!

Especially pray that I get there OK! ;-)
