Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Pippin looks like he's wondering just who that person is sitting at your computer!
*waves to Rosie*
Hey!!! Yippeeee!! Welcome home, Rosie!
Hair, you got a two-fer for that house-cleaning, didn'tcha!!? What with SirKit and now Rosie! Actually a trifecta if it hadn't gotten too cluttered since Ruthy's visit!
Look out! Pip is sneaking up on you!
Glad you made it. :D
Hey - it was mostly still clean from Ruthy - This has been an efficient parade of visitors :~D
Well, the handy-dude is still over there... painting... we can't really do anything till he's done... so we aren't sure what to do with ourselves... I guess we'll go drive around town, show her where things are... maybe hit Value Village.
It's how I feel when I have my house clean..
"Everyone come visit me....NOW!!"
Heh heh...
I struggle with my upkeep of my house constantly...some days it's ok...most days not. LOL!
Hey, speaking of dusting, my church bought all these hymnals, but they don't use 'em...they put the words up on a big screen. Just got 'em for looks, I guess. They just sit on a little rack under the seat. I like to write "Wash Me" on the covers in the dust. Ha ha ha!!
So did'ya see my sweetie? I put a Valentine's Day card in the lunchbox I packed for him before he left Sunday night. He found it when he was snacking during the 4 hour wait for the plane at Logan. I told him last week NOT to order flowers or anything for Valentine's Day. Told him we could go out to eat or something when he got back in town.
Yipes ... I need stockings, too! <contemplating my feet> And a pedicure!
A week ago, I mailed Major Mark Stoller, USAF, the Camillus BK2 he requested, Today, I got the following email:
-------
The knife you sent on Tuesday arrived over the weekend and it is just phenomenal! Moved by your letter - denoting such a beautiful knife only goes to those in the line of fire - and in the interest of Paying It Forward, I have given the knife to CAPT Robert Pleak, USMC. Rob deploys to Baghdad this weekend for the next 90 days to work in the [redacted] supporting [redacted] in their efforts.
I thought you would like to know the knife has gone on to a true warrior going into certain line of fire. My staff duties will keep me firmly planted in Tampa at [redacted] where the only combat I see is in finding a suitable parking space!
Thanks go out to you and your fellow patriots at Hobbit Hole. We, the men and women of your military, appreciate your thoughtfulness and efforts.
Sincerely,
Mark
------------
As a reward for his candor and humility, I sent him one of the CRKT "OIF" folding knives we have put aside for special people.
What a great letter! Yeah, fighting for those parking spaces CAN be brutal!
Thanks for sharing that and for your continued service to our troops.
Rosie, I guess you didn't need any Bob Evans'...
I swear to you now, and I'm not even kidding...if I ever meet this dude, when all is said and done and Steve is finished with him, I'm gonna smile sweetly at him and say "Did anyone ever tell you YOU'RE A JACKASS?"
Does Rosie have an interview already??? I missed that!
I think she's gonna borrow Hair's good-luck jacket and skirt.
Maybe, if we're very nice, they'll post pictures ...
No kidding! Excellent!
But where was this posted?? What are the details!!??
How did the confrontational meeting go? Been thinking about ya.
I'm making yogurt.
You need to read all the posts, 2J :-)
It was yesterday evening when she checked in from the hotel.
Yeah, I got an e-mail while on the road about interviewing for a position right in Olympia. Wouldn't it be awesome if I got a good job, close by, and that quickly?
It'll be at three local time - so I think that's five your time? Be praying!
We just came back from driving around town - including scoping out the route to the interview. Hopefully I can drive that route again without getting lost...
