Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sonya has two nice big bookcases - both for $25 if you want them :~D Ooh...sure! I'd take 'em!
That's exactly what I sold my two for, actually - works out perfectly.

Thanks. He's growed up so fast. ~snif~
You have a safe trip. I'm assuming you have plans to check in along the way. We'll pray for safe travels.

Heh. What a dim-bulb that guy is. I don't know what it is about Massachusetts and their politicians at the national level. They're ALL doofuses!

I don't think I'll have internet access the first night, but the next place supposedly has "data ports", which I assume means Ethernet? Dunno.
I do need to get and give phone numbers to a few people as well.
To: SuziQ
Thanks, Suzi! That's very thoughtful of you!
I also asked Father to give me a blessing after Mass tonight - went tonight so I could head out as soon as I'm ready tomorrow morning.
Need all the prayers I can get! But I'm also thinking...this isn't something I would have undertaken a year ago.
To: SuziQ
Oh...as for when I plan to head out tomorrow...it'll kinda depend on how quickly we can get the bike figured out, IF it'll work out. It looks like it's gonna be trickier to get it to lay flat than we thought. I'm going to try taking off the pedal - shoulda thought of that before, I know. But it's almost rusted on. We got some Liquid Wrench to try tackling it...hopefully that's all it needs, and hopefully the pedal is the only obstacle in getting it to stay put and level.
Other than that, mostly just have the things I'm using tonight, my instruments, and Tam and Halvah to load into the car.

I've been lurking here without participating but wanted to wish you good luck and God bless on your adventure. Keep track of the weather ahead, and stay over rather than run into bad winter weather. That trip can be a problem this time of the year. I guess that you are inland from today's blizzard!!
To: RosieCotton
...this isn't something I would have undertaken a year ago.Well then, the time spent in Ft. Collins was worth it. It was a good transition time to prepare you for this next great adventure!

g'mornin'. Not so much snow here. Maybe 1-2 inches. Our services are on as usually.
Safe travels Rosie.

That's what I was expecting. All day yesterday I was trash talking the forcasters saying, "Bah. Everytime they get all hyped like this we get maybe four inches. So I say four inches. No sweat."
So sure enough, there were four inches on the ground when we turned in last night.
We woke up to at least 12".
With more on the way.
It's all real purty. I might try to get some pics later. The dogs are not amused. They hate having cold white stuff all the way up to their whoozits.
