Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I thought you'd told the poor woman she couldn't go to Luke's party! Yeah, I realized that's how ya took it. Didn't mean it that way. We told her she ~could~ go, but that she probably wouldn't want to.
It was just odd to me because of the weather. ~I~ didn't want to be out in it.

Howdy! The choir director e-mailed us this afternoon to tell us that rehearsal and choir are cancelled for 11am Mass tomorrow because of the storm, so we went to 4:30 Mass. Then we did a few errands; Joseph and Clare got an old PS2 game they'd been looking for. Now we're home, and Clare's fixing to make a fire in the fireplace. The snow is supposed to start around midnight. We sitting drinking wine and gonna watch
Cinderella Man.
We're just hoping that the snow stops in the early afternoon cause SirKit is supposed to fly out to Seattle tomorrow night. He's gonna stop by Hair and ecurbh's on Tuesday morning for breakfast on his way down to the job location in Oregon.

I hope it's nice in Seattle too. That's a long drive to be in lousy weather.

We're on standby and told to call in the a.m.

Actually he'll drive to Dupont when he arrives, and that's not too far from SeaTac. He'll be there Monday for some visits with people at work, stay there Monday night, then drive down to Portland on Tuesday, stopping at Hair's on the way.
When I had told him how close they were to the Interstate, he suggested stopping by to see them. I'm glad he's finally gonna meet her! He had met ecurbh back in 2003 when he was in MA to visit family. He hasn't met any other Hobbit Holers!

Okay....popcorn's ready, put some Kickin' Chicken in the seltzer water.
Hmmm...Miss Cat is a one-way kitty. She'll use the pet door to come in from the garage, but not the other way around.

Back from visiting with Sonya and the baby...
Now we're going out to ~Frankie's~ - a local bar here in town that is rumored to be defying the new anti-smoking law. We're gonna go support that :~D Damn the anti smoking Nazis!
Talk to y'all later :~D
To: HairOfTheDog; Ramius
Anti-smoking Nazis have been trying to pass that in Virginia. So far they've failed.
We're a tobacco state fercryinoutloud...

Well, let's view the situation from her perspective. Garage is cold, dark, no rugs and no tuna in spring water.
House is warm, light, rugs and tuna in spring water.
Makes sense to us. :-) OB & LSA

Hehehe....guess so.
Today she went through the pet door when she could have just pushed the regular door open. When she wants to go into the garage, she sits at the door and waits for me to open the "people door." Maybe she's just power tripping.

heh, dogs have owners, cats have staff. Though more than once today, LSA told Gypsygirl not to put her nose on the back door if she wanted out. We were painting the kitchen at the time, yup, that included the back door. Sigh.

Nice floor!
Luke is so big, Corin. Time flies.

Well, I guess we're not going after all. Tim and Sonya called, and I guess Meggie's tired and cranky now, and they didn't want to take her to Sonya's mom in that mood, so they thought they'd just put her to bed.
So we decided we're tired and cranky too. :~D
