New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
snowin' like mad here... startin' tuh stick...
and so it begins...
Have a safe and mostly uneventful trip, Rosie!! ;o)
We're supposed to get between 8 and 14" of the white stuff this evening into tomorrow morning. We're going to go to 4:30 Mass, this afternoon, cause we may not be able to get out and down the hill tomorrow morning. We'd better get there early because I'm sure half the Parish will be thinking the same thing!
Morning G'nad - I'll bet Dogwood Ridge is quite picturesque with a light dusting of snow. Good day for loading ammo or cleaning weaponry..
Hopefully this adventure will be more successful in the long run than my previous one. ;-)
Though...I suppose in a way both moves are part of one great adventure. Haven't reached the end yet...
Are y'all fairly close to the Interstate? SirKit will be spending Monday night in Dupont, then driving down to Hillsboro on Tuesday morning. He was wondering if he could stop and have a cuppa coffee with you guys around 7:30 or 8 or so. ;o)
Morning Suzi - now that's a snow.. Let's see, Milk, Eggs, Bread.
Heck, this is just part of the beginning!
I'd be loadin' ammo, but I hadtuh send muh 550 back tuh Dillon fer maintenance... lifetime warranties are a good thing...
was s'posed tuh do a controlled burn tuhday... ain't gonna happen...
got a batch of homebrew what needs finings, but that'll take on ly a few minutes...
may havetuh do a litttle varmint huntin'...
Thanks, Suzi!
Mornin' everyone.

I know it isn't major news, but I was really worried about Alyson not being potty-trained yet since most child care places charge extra when the kid is still in diapers/pull-ups.
I felt kinda foolish praying about such a thing, but lo and behold since yesterday morning Alyson has been going to the bathroom by herself and of her own accord.
She's proud as can be walking around in her "big girl" Dora the Explorer panties. And I'm so relieved that she is finally learning. She'll be four in June and ready for Pre-K, so she really needed to get with the program.
Thanks, God! Now about that lottery thing....
(Kidding, of course)
Got one of those little pot molds from Burpee yesterday. Think I'll pot up a bunch of basil.
there a many paths to tread...
Proverbs:
16 : 9 In his heart a man plans his course,
but the LORD determines his steps.
3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight
You got that right re the lifetime warranties; Hope you get it back soon.
Been checking my manual for a good heavy bullet .38 load. Still have some unique I need to use up. :-) Given the price of 9mm, it's kinda hard to justify reloading it. Probably will do for some 'special loads' but 9mm practice ammo is still about five bucks a box.
we got mebbe 1/2" in about an hour... still comin' down purty good...
may be an interestin' drive tuh werk tuhnite...
158 gr cast lead SWC
5.5 gr Unique
fire at will...
Check, check and check! Even gots plenty of TP!
Heh, re: the Lottery; you don't ask, you don't get!
COngrats to Alyson, too!! That's a HUGH step for her, and especially since she's doing cause SHE wants to!
