Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning...
Sorry about yesterday. I had one of my rare but killer migranes and worked a full day anyway.
Now I just need coffee.

Good morning...
Have to take Tweek back to the vets this morning... she's awfully swollen.

Good morning Hobbit Hole.
Poor Tweek. Hope it's nothing serious. :-(

Yeah - me too. There's pics of her
here . I hope she doesn't have to be re-admitted, that they can treat or drain or give antibiotics and she can go back home, she seems to feel great, I'd hate for her to have to go sit in the cage at the vets.

I had one of my rare but killer migranes and worked a full day anyway.Ouch! Hope today is a better one. I've never had a migraine; don't get headaches much, for which I'm grateful.

Morning...
I have a sore throat. I hate waking up with sore throats, they're worse than anything else I get on a regular basis.

This is the type of silliness I am being subjected to at the office lately. I believe it is indicative of employee brain-burnout. :-)

Subject: Tragedy !
A police officer sent this to me. It is not for the faint of heart. If you have a weak stomach, then don't look at the URL.
It is a picture of the demise of a suicide jumper taken shortly after he landed. It shows him with his insides now on the outside.
You will see the look of horror on the faces of the bystanders. The faces of the bystanders is why I believe this is real...

Got it! Looks great! I still wanna work in the final address, but that shouldn't take much tweaking. I like that it mentions all the road name changes and all - makes it easier to know you're on the right track!
Heh...I did notice that it ends each day with leaving the hotel and getting back on the interstate, though. ;-) Glitch in the program I guess.
To: HairOfTheDog
Eek...let us know as soon as you get back! I'm having a hard time believing it was just the sutures. When Cleo had surgery, she ended up with a lot of swelling around the sutures and had to go back for checkups, but it took a few days to come up and it was *just* around the sutures - didn't look rounded like that.
Hope it's no big deal!
To: JenB
Hopefully it's just the dry air.
Have someone coming to look at the bed in a bit...Eek! Guess I'd better straighten up that room somewhat!
To: JenB
Urgh...or not. They just called back and canceled.
To: RosieCotton
Cancelled permanently or rescheduled?
We're supposed to get snow tonight. Hard to believe, it's already pretty warm and gorgeous out there.
