The things going on in this world concerning Islam just astound me. I was so oblivious for so long.
The only inkling I ever had was a friend of mine, a western co-worker who was married to a Muslim. She was very quietly plotting an escape for herself and her young daughter. She said his family treated her like a slave and he was none too happy she got a job as a nurse. I asked her why she didn't just divorce him and she said he had threatened to run off with her daughter to Pakistan. This was in 1997. I still couldn't understand it.
I lost touch with her and often wonder how things turned out. Especially after 9/11.
Islam is an army disguised as a religion.
MIL and I are perusing cookbooks and watching SB commercials. I think I made a tamale convert out of her. Heh.
I'll diet again tomorrow. :P

Yer no freak. We cut to the Puppy Bowl during half time and saw part of the Kitten Halftime Show. They were doing great until the grand finale when they dumped a bunch of confetti on them. They did *not* like that. Not one little bit.
