Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Daily Mass - yep! I don't make it every day, but at least once in awhile.
To: RosieCotton
Whew. Done on hold. Got nowhere with it, heh, but that's what I expected with a laptop that's out of warranty.

*sigh*
If I was actually busy, I wouldn't have time to make an eight o'clock Mass in the mornings.
Looking for work again. Among other things...there are various plans in the works.
Speaking of plans, have you heard about our latest Hobbit Hole couple? ;-)
To: JenB
It's got to be a parody... right? That's pretty scary, if it's not a parody. That book is truly obscene. What a horrible way to twist a child's mind.

Huh. How long would it take to have one delivered that has what you want without the extras?

Yikes. That is a long time. :-/
Well, I can understand the DVD player thing. You can't take that out easily.
But would they be open to the idea of switching wheels with another Commander? The tires and rims are the same size, right?

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYBODY!!!!
I know this doesn't really belong on a thred like this, but I was so mad at this, I had to rant or kick in the TV screen!
Guess what ignorant thing I heard last night while I was watching a special on Abraham Lincoln on the Histo0ry channel?
The program was supposed to focus on Lincoln's "Psychie" from childhood til his days as president during the Civil War.
Well, there were these authors who have written about Pres. Lincoln (several) and about the CW, (even more)
Well, one of them was Gore Vidal, and he just couldn't resist a jab at President Bush!
This ignorant "Explitive deleted" was talking about the Civil War and how, unlike the WOT, was a REAL war. Vidal wouldn't name the CinC he was eluding to, but it doesn't take a college degree to figure out who he was referring to. especially when he said the War on Terrorism was basically like a "War on dandruff!!!!"
I wonder if you were to talk to the relatives of those who were murdered on 9/11/01 if they think thier loved ones died of dandruff?
I mean what arrogance!
I admit to not being aware of Vidal's rampant liberalism. I should do more research.
He also said this president he refused to name was not a war president as he (The President) claimed to be.
Now what in the world has the WOT and President Bush have to do with Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War? I ask you? But, Gore Vidal ruined an otherwise good program by his his little comment that COULD HAVE BEEN ELIMANATED FROM THE PROGRAM!

I suppose... but they're not the big hangup. It's the DVD player that pushes it just a little too far.
I'll give it another run today. If they give me a good enough deal I'll just pull the trigger.

I had a temporary job, but it ended. Back on the market...
As for JenB and Talon, the second and third pictures here pretty well tell the story, I think. ;-)
Ain't they cute?
