Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

"Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand." *applause*

Any chance of having it opened up by this weekend?
I'd love to help, if I can.

What are friends for, if you can't recruit them to fight Alien Food Creatures in strange refrigerators? ;-)

I hope so. First step would just be to inspect and evaluate and take pictures. Then flea bomb. If the frig needs immediate action I'll do that. Later, when Rosie gets here, we'll go up and borrow the carpet shampooer from D.

That just ain't right...
But it's awful funny.

I unnerstand. But just a few weeks of mold (even if it was just damp inside), could cause some respiratory gunk.
I'm convinced now that was my problem last fall when we opened up the ceiling in the kitchen. You won't find a mess like that, but still.
'Course maybe it's just me that needs to be overly cautious...

Rosie and the Life of Crime... catchy title for a book, not too likely to actually happen. She's a very good roommate/neighbor type person.

I'm planning to call the power company tomorrow to see what they need me to do. Hopefully that will go smoothly! Also plan to do that note to the landlord.
Also need to get the last of the furniture up on Craig's List. If that goes quickly...I may be all but ready in not much over a week. Kinda scary.

With that image goin' for me, I could get away with a lot...

It'll be an adventure! It's a perfectly lousy time to come to Washington, but you're welcome :~D

She's a very good roommate/neighbor type person. Yeah, but after the fact they always talk about how the axe murderer was the "quiet type"...
