Morning - Ahhh, getting some rain today. We're ready for some moisture, it's dry enough we don't mind it being on a weekend, this time. Guess it'll be inside stuff today.
Morning!
[sip]
Watching the water pond in the yard....scoping out rain garden and "regular" garden spots. Hmmm.....most of the ponds are right over the gas line.
Mornin'.
Gotta get ready to go out and get my stuff for the trip.
Roofing guys woke us up at 7am by playing hopscotch above our heads. Thankfully, they're doing the shingles today so this should be the last time they give us an early morning wake-up.
Back later!
It started raining early this morning, around 5:30am I guess and so Steve got a good night sleep before having to go out and sample!
And he gets overtime for it too...woohooo!
It seems the rain is 'telling' you where to put the 'rain gardens'; still, the downspouts would seem to be the 'right' place.
Looks like dejavu drive in has been preempted by Ken Burns' Civil War. That was a wonderful series.
Hmm. still raining here. Wednesday was a beautiful day up here and I had a two streams to evaluate, easy access via a new sewer line easement. Third stream was posted so it wasn't done.
Heh! Steve was assessing a stream as part of his Blue Thumb volunteer thing he does day before yesterday. He sat on a sanitary sewer pipe that went through it to draw his samples.
Then yesterday he couldn't find his pager.
Went back out there and sure enough, there was his pager, right where he'd been sitting...in about 4 inches of water.
Oops! LOL
It's still drizzling here, the majority of the state got rain though and we're thrilled.
One of the ladies in BA CHEF posted in the egroup that she was giving it away. I was the first to ask for it! The Sprout Master is supposed to be a deluxe sprouter!
I really love this lady...have for many years! Since I first started homeschooling and had no one besides Steve to encourage me. She and her husband have been mentors for Steve and I. A real friend.
Another one of those people that the Lord placed in my life at just the right time to help me.
And now she's given me a sprouter! LOL! I could shimmy!
Cool! Let us know how ot works!
I still would like to get a sprouter at some point.
G'morning! We're going out for some breakfast... be back in a bit.
...This lady is the first lady in CHEF that I contacted when I was convicted to homeschool. I had told my mom and she was constantly giving me private school information. I finally said "Mom, these private schools don't allow homeschoolers to take just one or two classes...if we go to a private school, I won't be able to homeschool and we are homeschooling." She hung up on me. It was devastating to me and I turned to this lady...didn't even know her and she's been a great source of encouragement. She's older than me...her last child is graduating soon. And her husband used to be the president of Big CHEF. And they go to our church. Wonderful mentors.
Morning!!
I'm logging off...hopefully Steve will be home soon, but nonetheless, Oklahoma Gardening is coming on.
See ya later!
Yeah, looks like.
No need to worry...I've got lots of MST3K to watch.
Heh.
Be back in time for the game.
Got the pre-game show coming up in a few minutes.
We haven't been doing so well lately.
Why were you up so early on a Saturday? Ungh.
My muse has returned - the evil one who makes me want to write when I have ten million other things to do.
oops, I should not have mentioned stories the other day.
Up? er I woke up and was awake. Figured I might as wel kill stuff and steal preciouses
Eh, good enough reason :-)
Of course, if I had gotten up earlier, I'd have a chance of getting through my list of Things To Be Done and having time for writing or something today... oh well.
Now that was well and truly a Funkle Spam!
I'm glad you got your sprouter. When I buy bean sprouts, they always go bad before I can use all of them because I'm the only one who eats them. I love them fried up with yaki soba, stir fried soba noodles.
