We watched
Polar Express this afternoon. It was just a gorgeous film! The typical secular Christmas type movie, but very sweet, nonetheless. I never could finish the book when reading it to the kids because I would get so fahklempt at the end of it. ;o)

Yeesh... shopped a little on the way home to pick up some odds and ends... license plate frames, bungee cords... little TV table... yadda yadda...
end up in packaging hell for a half hour.
They pack stuff like it's going to the moon or something. Yeesh.

I've actually needed ~tools~ to free toys from their packaging.
Thankfully, most of the time it's just 2 dozen twist-ties and 16 yards of super adhesive tape keeping Dora in her display box. :-D

This one was kinda classic... folding wood TV-type table... the top is shrinkwrapped, OK? turns out they shrinkwrapped the top first... THEN they screwed on all the parts. Through the plastic.
[sigh]
Have hobbit-hole knife... will travel.
