The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 01/16/2006 6:56:15 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Yeah, I'm fixing to go lay down, too. Almost fell asleep at the keyboard, but when I jolted awake, the head pain had diminished, so maybe a nap will help.

I took a nap...had just gotten to sleep when Dad called. Had a really, really good conversation with him. Feel much better about life now. ;-)

Headache partially gone, but I need more drugs...

Yes. I had to wait awhile for their response, but it's all settled...

Well, a few folk feeling lousy... myself included. It's sunny out so I forced myself to go to town and get hay, and go outside for a bit with the horses, but I just feel kindof generally shaky and achy all over.

Dunno why.

I'm actually up to #14 and 15. You're attention has been elsewhere.

Whose day is it to watch me, anyway?

Hey Bear...do you know when it was that I had found that tool on the road and didn't know what it was...I posted a picture and found out it was a chainsaw tool of some sort.

Can you tell me when that was posted?

Tell Rose that I truly do think I got what she had, it hit me so fast. Literally within minutes, I went from feeling kind of out of sorts to just like I was knocking on death's door. It was pure misery for about 48 hours.

I'll check for it... Rose is taking a nap right now, but I'll let her know when she wakes up!

That is a fine looking piece of hardware there. I'm kinda a conventional stock kinda guy but I'd sure like to take it for a test drive, once anyway.
