Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yellowface is shining here, but without warmth.

The White Tree of Minas Tirith has come to visit. I await the coming of a young mallorn from Lothlorien.

(What a long, strange trip it's going to be...)

Pretty... I'd take a little snow now, over more of this rain.

There are no secrets in the Hobbit Hole!
At least, not when we have a cooperative co-conspirator... ;~D

We plan to see the New World, as well. Last of the Mohicans with DDLewis was very well done imo. Have it on tape.

Happy Birthday!
To: HairOfTheDog
heh, ain't that the truth. An archer on a pie, way cool. Came home last night, house was filled with baking smells. LSA whipped up a batch of my favorite cookies. She's a keeper, LSA is. :-)

Gac, I think I remember that one, lobsters were the food supply for some aliens right? (called gorgons irrc).
To: RosieCotton
Thanks very much.
still loading magazines.
To: RosieCotton
Hehehe....Teenagers from Outer Space on Mystery Science Theater. Aliens are conquering the earth for their lobster overlords. The lobsters are supposed to grow to giant proportions.

Good morning!
Making breakfast (oatmeal), and then I need to get a bag of flour. Making bread today.
I'm tired. I'd crawl back into bed, but that never works. Lotta noise upstairs last night...wonder if Jen heard it, too. I'm never sure if they're really *that* loud or if they just happen to directly overhead at a given time.
To: Overtaxed

Crab people, crab people
taste like crab, talk like people... crab people.

FWIW, I'm gonna go nuts until I figger out what album cover I'm thinkin of...
(As I recall, rock, post party or ~next day~, people laying around in bed, some partially clothed...is this a memory I don't really have? I can't remember the band and I never owned the album...)
