Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That, too. LOL!
I didn't mention yesterday, but I got my beeber stuned. I sat through a big long bored meeting during which a big chief muckety muck - way up and beyond my own command chain - said, "Lil' that was good work on xyz. Thank you."
My head is still spinning from the power of a simple Thank You. Everyone needs to hear Thank You more often.

Morning! My friends' daughter, in Iraq, got her knives and she's just thrilled! So are her parents. They are so appreciative of folks who support their kids! Thanks again, for all you do!

Everyone needs to hear Thank You more often.Ain't it the truth! Good job!
Am finishing up my coffee, then heading back to bed! Paul came in last night from New Zealand; his plane was supposed to arrive at 11:49, and he had told us to pick him up at baggage claim at 12:15. We were just fixing to leave the house at 11:20, when I checked the flight tracker and his plane had just landed! They were over 20 mins.early!! Then, on the way, they had a detour from the Mass Pike that took us through the lovely streets of Boston. AARGH! But, even with the detour, it only took us just over an hour to get there. He was exhausted, but said they had a great time. He said it was just a lot to take in. They did Australia and New Zealand in just under three weeks. I'm glad he made it home safely.
I had a Dit Coke on the way home from the airport, and I guess it kept me up cause I didn't get sleepy again until 4am! So I had a nap, then took Joseph to school. YAWN!

I have a prayer request for everyone, please. Found out some bad news late last night about SirKit's baby sister (who turns 50 this year, YIKES!) She'd been diagnosed with Trigeminal Nueralgia last week, and went for an MRI yesterday. The radiologist saw some lesions that he said were 'consistent with MS'. She was just floored, and is hoping that's not the case. I'm praying for it not to be, but I'm asking if y'all would please pray for her peace of mind in the event that it does turn out to be MS. Even though treatments have advanced considerably in the last 10 yrs. or so, she'll still be scared for her future. She's a single gal; never found anyone she cared to marry, so that worries her, too, even though she has siblings (and outlaws) who will help her in any way we can.
Thanks!

Will pray for her! That's not good news at all. Scary.
Morning... I decided to hit the gym first thing but that gives me five minutes to get out the door and catch the bus so I'd better run.

Your life goes at a break-neck pace sometimes, don't it sis! Three weeks is not long enough for Paul to see those places, though! I'd like t spend about twice that, I think. Those are two places I'd really like to visit.
I'm praying for the best news for your sister in law! Keep me posted.

Looks like someone stuned FR's beeber last night, but the error messages appear to be gone this morning.
*yawn* I'm tired.
