My husband said that sometime during the night one of the cats used my body as a launch pad to get off the bed and I didn't wake up at. LOL! You musta been zonked out! :)

Seriously, how can someone like Katherine who has a great voice, but who has the stage presence of a pile of cat fur compete with him? Not only is she not in the same league- she's not even playing the same sport. And it's maddening because McPhee has the looks and the voice to be a contender ... if she wants to be. I don't know what's going on with her.

She said something about the girls who were up there were there because one ate salad and one ate pizza. Figure that one out. That was a strange exchange because, when she said it, Ryan made a comment and Paula said something like 'Simon whispered that in her ear'.
Maybe Simon is trying to help Paula get bounced off the show! lol She doesn't need any help though.

Perhaps she has been offered a contract outside the 19 Entertainment franchise. If she blows it now, she might get a more lucrative offer from someone else (a la Mario Vasquez from last season). Maybe. Mario supposedly got some contract and left the show, right? So, what has he done? Does he have a CD? He dropped at the beginning of last season and I haven't heard squat about him regarding any CD's, songs, concerts, whatever. How has he been helped by dropping out?

Paula indeed, was an embarrassment last night, especially the head on the table thing, but I'll be the first to admit that part of the fun of the show for me, is watching what she will do next. It really is! She's the most unpredictable part of the show :)

"The other thing about Idol which isn't the norm in modern entertainment is that it is clean, fun family fare. The whole family can get together, watch it, pick their favorites and vote. Everybody from first graders to grandparents can get into it. That's a very rare quality in a TV show (or movie) these days"
Yes, it is great for that reason. I first got into AI while my kid was still at home and I was just a big Ruben booster because he was the only contestant who could make me put down the sponge and come in to the living room to see "who was singing".
"I enjoyed the show last night with seeing Carrie and her singing Jesus at the wheel."
Man, that was great. Just great. What a great song, no wonder it is a big hit. Just great! And great to see such a song given prominence on TV today, what can I say, that I haven't already said? God bless Rupert Murdoch and Fox TV.

"she's clearly in her own
little Paula Abdul universe"
~ Retrokitten
The American Idol judge was incoherent on last nights live telecast, bumbling lines and giggling like shed just emerged from a Grateful Dead concert, leaving audiences, contestants and host Ryan Seacrest more confused than a homophobic Clay Aiken fan. When Seacrest asked Abdul why two contestants received the fewest votes, she mumbled, head in hands, Simon said because one of them ate pizza and the other ate salad.
A shocked Seacrest responded, You guys realize were on the air?
Abdul got it together for a few minutes, but during the second round of cuts, she was back to her odd behavior.
What did you tell me Simon? she said, slurring her words. What did you tell me? Simon gave me advice and said on The X Factor he always refers to a fortune cookie and says the moth who finds the melon - (laugher) - finds the corn flake always finds the melon and one of you didnt pick the right fortune.
