for Tammy
I thought last night was the best week so far, too, but I'm partial to the 50's anyway! If they do a 60's night that should be good too.
I mean, the woman in the song is not walking after midnight to pick up tricks, but that's exactly how Hickler sang it.
Glad I'm not the only one that thought that!
Simon said he refuses to compromise, as though that's some kind of good thing. Sometimes it is, but not in this case.
I agree with this, too. I thought Simon seemed a bit 'cautious' with his comments last night.
I like Kellie better... don't know why, but i do. I usually like brunettes better.
Well what did you think of song "Keep Me Close"?
Did you like it or not?

LOL. Your assessment of how Pickler performed the song was spot on. :) I didn't like it either.
We've had the entire family over for dinner, but not just the kid.
Sniff Sniff...
Yea, didnt mean to insinuate that you did with my post.
I like that poll better because Elliot is not last, but please explain Mandisa as 6th? That is crazy...Kellie at 2 and Ace at 5 also drives me crazy. For me the ranking should be: 1) Mandisa 2) Katharine 3) Elliot 4)Chris 5) Taylor based on last night. The top 3 was on singing ability. 4 and 5 is that I was entertained.
Come on, I'm just havin' fun, I'm not meaning any harm here...
Then stop acting like a troll!
As for Pickler -- I picked up "Hickler" from another site -- she absolutely murdered that great Patsy Cline song.
As for Simon's (and the other judges') comments, they almost seem hell-bent on proving this year has the best group of finalists. What some of these finalists are doing would have been blasted in the earlier seasons.
Vocally and in their song choices, Katharine and Paris are the female equivalents of Clay Aiken. Remember how Simon used to blast Clay for being "too Broadway" when the point of AI is to find a pop star? How come Katharine's choice of an 1946 standard on 1950's night isn't "too Broadway" in the sense Simon meant it?
And Pickler. How come they never criticize her tendency to toss flat notes often in her performances. She'll sing a few bars on key, then all of a sudden it's as if you're listening to an old record with a scratch in it. How come they didn't point out that she sang 'Walkin After Midnight' like a cheap floozy? How come they didn't criticize her ridiculous pronounciation of some of the lyrics in that song last night?
Simon actually praised her for being "ballsy and sexy." Ugh!
LOL! That's funny.
I don't think Elliot did better than Chris though. In fact, I don't think any guy did better than Chris, imo.
I think the ranking should be:
1)Mandisa (she totally rocked)
2)Katherine (picked a hard song and sang it quite well
3)Chris (he is good, although it is just me, or is he starting to sound the same in every song?
4)Paris (cuz she sang in her genre and that style is what I liked about her in her auditions)
5)Ace (yeah, I like him and I thought he did good last night)
6) Elliot (only because although he can sing well, he isn't very entertaining and not much to look at either, imo).
7) Pickler (not a fan, although she did surprisingly well doing Patsy Clyne. I had a feeling she'd sing that and had my doubts)
I'm not a fan of Hicks and as I posted earlier, I think the bottom 3 will be Kevin, Bucky and Lisa.
