please let the little guy go. I don't know how much more of him I can take!)

Same here :) He might squeak through another week--I think Lisa will go. Or Bucky.

Last but not least, Bucky will likely be gone. Nice guy and gives it his all, but I'd be surprised if he is not the one leaving tomorrow

I agree. Too bad--he's a likable guy, and his voice is fairly good, but his hair is just too distracting. It gets fluffier each week--blech.

Just curious though, the song he sang last night has been done by people like Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra, Al Jarreau, Diana Krall, etc.. All Grammy Award winners.

And none of them had a huge hit with the song either. It is a great song for a wonderful vocalist, but it is not a popular song with people listening. THat was the problem and why I said Eliot was picking obscure songs.

Look at all the posts MR. , all of these amazing artists covering this song and hardly anyone on here knew the song.

I hope and pray DialIdol is off (like they were with Lisa) on Eliot being last, but I am telling you -- he needs to pick it up and connect with the audience or he will be gone.

There is a reason why Jazz is only listened to by a small portion of the populace. YOu have to be a true music lover to appreciate the genre and to get the music.

I like Bucky better each week too. I think one reason he seems so good natured, he knows he's not going to be in the top, so why worry, just have fun:) And I thought his hair was less fluffy last night:) more in the middle from what it had been and last week.

"I have liked her the past 2 weeks....she makes my top 4.
Chris, Mandisa, Taylor, Katherine."

Those are my EXACT picks for the top four as well!

Still, I do really love Elliot's brand of technically perfect singing - he reminds me of a young Tony Bennett, and I still miss Will Makar - his voice was nice to listen to.

You're right Elliot needs to pick it up. He does have the best voice of the whole crowd, but he's just not connecting with the crowd. If he was, it matter what he looks like, IMO, somehow people do get past that with someone who gets the crowd involved. JMO:)

3 stitches = less typing!!!

I certainly didn't notice :) Sorry about your hand, though.

Paris: Why am I just not excited about this girl?

My theory is it's her age. 16 year olds are boring creatures.

Speaking of which ...

Lisa: Quite competent but boring as usual. Go do musicals, Lisa.

Yep. I won't be surprised if she goes tonight. Bucky's on thin ice too, but I'd like to see him stick around for at least one more week.

I wish he would get it cut. I think that would help his appeal and I am being serious.

Ditto and ditto. Will does have a nice voice -- it was always a surprise how pleasant he sounded.

Have you noticed Taylor's eyes? They don't seem to smile.

I've noticed that from the very beginning. I even thought at times, he was really holding back alot of anger towards Simon, when Simon dised him. He's one of my favorites, but, he bombed out last night, IMO, and there IS something there that makes me wonder about his personality.

Sorry, that was awful.
I've been up the entire night finishing a deadline. At least 8 more hours to go...

Now that you mention it ... There was a photo of him posted on the thread (which I can't find now, wouldn't you know!) taken by the press that shows what you describe. But that might be because he could be uncomfortable without music. When he's on stage--even during last night's awful performance--he seems to light the place up.

She may leave some people cold, but she TWO VERY LARGE qualities that will carry her far in this competition:

Absolutely!

talent and taste.

Um, yeah... them too.

Most entertaining show so far.

It really was! Hope they keep that up.

Good review. I never thought of Bucky sounding like Springsteen, but you're right--in his own Bucky-kind-of-way his voice does have a Springsteen quality.

Geez, I'm no expert. But I paint faces for a living, and there's a way you have to make the eyes match a smile, and Taylor's just don't.

And you're right, Jonny, they have to smile so much for those dang cameras. I couldn't do that, could you?

We agree on the bottom three.

Kevin - I still refuse to grade or critique him

LOL!

I'll make sure word gets to him to sing something from N Sync next time so you can appreciate the song better.

Well that sure won't help with me since I don't listen to that stuff. I don't like jazz, never have. Sinatra is way before my time! lol
