I predict Chris, Ace and Lisa as the final three.

He is like nothing else I have ever seen. He's why I love music. I have bemoaned the fact that music has gotten way too neat since MTV, too polished, too painted. Give me Taylor and his passion and his messiness and awkward dancing any day of the week over the crap we see currently.

Great comment. I love music because of the emotional impact it has on me. I also absolutely love watching someone who is incredibly passionate perform their craft. I was in school at Auburn before he hit the band party circuit there but those I know who have seen him say the exact same thing. The moment for me was when he walked into the room playing the harmonica. You can just tell his being is music. He might not be the best, but he is an absolute joy to watch perform.

I was surprised that Ayla is booted off.

It was going to be either Ayla or Melissa to go home along with Kinnick last night. I don't think it made too much difference which one. I think on balance, Melissa gave a little bit better performance the other night.

Don't worry about Elliott. He will get a makeover before next week's show. They will do his hair up with mousse, then comb it with an eggbeater. Voila! Clay Aiken image.

Or, they'll plaster his arms with fake tattoos, shave his head, and dress him in a tee-shirt with the flames of Hell and death skulls on it. Then he'll upstage Chris.

Oh, the humanity!

Sir links,

It's very true what you say about people voting AGAINST Simon rather than for their true favorites.

I hate the way Simon's been treating Melissa all along, therefore I am voting for her as many times as possible in the weeks ahead.

I am so transparent.

Melissa's OK. I still say she's Hillary Clinton's long-lost daughter though. The resemblance is uncanny.

Take that back, she looks nothing like the Hildabeast.

Not the hideous Hildebeast!

Maybe a little like Rita Cosby, only much younger and cuter, and 80 lbs. lighter.

I love Melissa's voice. And the way she keeps bouncing back despite the Evil Simon's scurrilous remarks to her.

I was working at my light table during Taylor's performance, listening but not watching.
He sounded absolutely awful to me. His love of performing is a joy to behold, but if it were based upon voice alone, the only soothing voice which stays with me all week is mild mannered Elliot's.

You said that Gideon needed to greive properly....who is he grieving for? One of his parents?

I really liked Gideon. I hated to see him go.

:) Nice post. That's why I love him too, but you wrote that very well. He is really loved here in B'ham. Bo was too, but Taylor seems to have a larger following so to speak. Soul Patrol. :)

Hi OXEN. Good to "see" you. Although these things are largely in the eye of the beholder, it's actually astonishing how much Melissa does resemble Hillary Clinton. Do not confuse politics with a simple observation about how two people resemble each other.

Here are photos of Melissa and Chelsea Clinton. Notice the very similar shape of chin, mouth, cheekbones, nose. Even the shape of their eyes and the proportions of their faces are similar.

If Mandisa, Taylor,Chris or Elliot wins I will be happy. All four of them have a sound that I really enjoy. I will probably buy cds of any of them.

In regards to your question :

"You said that Gideon needed to greive properly....who is he grieving for? One of his parents?"

HIS FATHER ( a loving one I heard ) DIED NOT TOO LONG AGO I WAS INFORMED.

Read all about it in Gedeon's answer to his interview below ...

When I was 5 years.

Do you have any formal singing training?

A 3-6 mafia album.

Simon because he keeps it real, whatever he says 95% of the time is true about that person's style.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

It's photo shopped, I found it at worth1000 and saved it at my album with Photobucket. I thought the AI thread needed some laughs today...to keep us all going until next week anyway.

Do you ever listen to Rick and Bubba? They had him on their show and asked him if AI would allow him to play the harmonica....he said that if he could get it up there they might not have any choice. :) He probably wouldn't dare to though.

A SHOUT-OUT TO YOU SOUL PATROLERS AT BIRMINGHAM !!

I have always wondered what it is in the waters of Alabama that produces so much musical talent ( Ruben, Bo, Taylor ). No one has adequately explained it to me....
