Hi

I've been reading on FR about the differences what men want and what women want in a relationship. What do you want in a relationship with a man? What do men want in a relationship with women?

Tell me..... top 3, what are you looking for?

Absolutely #1, I want a man who has a sense of humor!! If you can make me laugh, we're half way there!

Next is some sort of integrity. God in your life is essential. It let's me know you have character.

Hmmm, third, I suppose kindness. I love a kind man.

Man...I could spend an awful lot of time on just those top three. Let me think...

Sense of humor is a great one. I can remember a guy I knew a few years back who met my other requirements, but had *no* sense of humor. He wasn't grouchy or anything...just didn't get humor. Kinda bizarre. And I imagine he found me bizarre for the opposite reason. ;-)

For me personally, he'd also need to be a conservative Catholic, or at least willing for any kids to be raised that way if such a thing were to come to pass... Conservative *should* go without saying, but unfortunately there are way too many people who are CINOs and don't really believe any of what I believe. My faith is too much a part of who I am for it not to be a shared thing.

Third I guess would be intelligence. That's not to say I like those guys who will babble on about things in terminology most wouldn't understand just in order to impress someone. Ugh. We all have specific knowledge within a particular field...talking about it without explaining anything isn't particularly impressive or interesting. But just as an example, my best friend when I was in the military was a guy who was able to grasp any kind of complicated mechanical device or electrical process or chemical whateveritwas and explain it in simple terms. Likewise philosophical musings - we had some really fascinating discussions.

3)That special "thing" that is hard to put an exact word to but you know it by the signs,like a certain look,holding hands,things like that.

Well, I have two femurs and some cheddar and some hummus. No ferrets, Hummers, Hummels, lemurs, lepers or humor though. Fresh out. But, THANKS for asking! ;^)

I like 1-3. I will add a 4th. MUST LOVE DOGS!!!! Also, must love kids. I have a huge family full of kids. None of mine live at home anymore, all grown, but I have grandchildren despite my youthful age and appearance (ROFLOL) and I love kids.

My "top 3" in a woman are:

1. I have to be able to trust her.

2. She has to be gentle-spirited.

3. When I see her, the first thing that goes through my mind isn't, "Well, looks aren't everything."
