Try webdate.com. I've tried several. okcupid.com, sex oriented and more for young people. Matchdoctor.com, great for men looking for russian brides. I only visit free ones so match.com wasn't for me but I did view and find my boss there!

I haven't been online much either. I was really busy over the holidays, from Thanksgiving on. Now, I am slowly but surely getting everything organized and packed away neatly.

I am taking Harm to meet some folks who have a sled dog club and who also do obedience training. We will go on 1/28. They think that they can help me with Harm. LOL! He is a good dog, but he knows he is the boss!

Heh...that happened to me, too, before I moved here. Did just a search at match.com out of curiosity and my boss popped up. No picture, but it was very obviously him. Phrases he used a lot and all.

That's great. Right now I'm not really looking. I'm just taking some bible studies at church to try to improve my spiritual self. I figure if I work on my relationship with God, I'll make myself better for when I should happen to run across a great, compatible woman.

Well, I have found that most of these things are for the younger crowd. I look about 10 years younger than I am, but I am 56. There are not many men on line looking for a 56 year old woman. My best bet is to meet someone in person. However, there are no single men in my age group around here. :(

Cool! I'm "supposed" to be going to Cancun in Feb for 10 days. We'll see how that goes. (a friend invited me...but it hasn't solidified yet) After that.......I'm in school full time from May until next year again. Chipping away at the degree.

I get a couple weeks off between semesters.....so I'm going to try to head to Delaware and Fla at those times. Late March or early April.. I'll be doing the hill country..i.e., Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, Luckenbach thang. (its a yearly trek for the bluebonnet trails) Do you know people to visit in the places you're going?

About the bad language thing::

My boss and his wife(who are liberals, BUT gun owners) BOTH use the GD word around me. The other day, loading a big screen, he said that, and I told him I "wish you would not use that word" and he responded "it's part of my vocabulary." I said "it shouldn't be", and left it at that.

Yes. I am going to Virginia Beach for a week end next week with a friend. I am going to Birmingham to visit my daughter and her family. I am going to Toledo to visit my brother and his family and then flying to Cancun with my sister-in-law to chaperon my nephew and three college buddies. Then my children and families and I are going to Virginia Beach for a week this summer. Florida, CA, and MA are all widowed friends. We like to take trips together. Kind of the YaYa Sisterhood kind of thing! LOL!

Yep, me too. I keep telling myself I'm too independent. What am I willing to give up? Ummmm, nothing, I like me and my life, am not willing to give it up. I like it fine. Bummer, does this mean I will never find true love? I had a life and kids for which I am very thankful. I would love to have someone who would share the same interests but it's not tops on my list of priorities.
