Do you remeber when we all send valentine days cards to Dan Rather?
Roses are red

I watch FOX and not you
And other silly stuff

Actually, your tag line would fit right into the game. :-)

I thought it was important to put that as a guideline, IMHO -- no need for a pity party!
That's no fun for anyone.

I wasn't in on that one, but even back then the wheels were starting to come off for Rather. I'm sure the Valentines from some conservative activists warmed his heart.

Yes, it is. How was the volleyball game tonight?

Ah, OK! I went to a movie like that once, years ago...couldn't remember if that was IMAX or not.
We saw a movie about the Grand Canyon, and I got horribly airsick. ;-)

Awesome!
I actually was forcibly removed from an anti-Gore rally in Manhattan because I decided to use some sarcastic signage that hadn't been pre-approved by the demonstration's organizers.
It was kind of amusing, because I almost came to blows with a febrile Gore supporter just as I was being told to leave.
Luckily, an NYPD officer restrained her from doing anything stupid, so the conflict pretty much fizzled out.
I threw out my torn sign and headed back on the R train to Bklyn.

I remember as a kid going to one that featured "thrills" -- you got to be in a high-speed chase, when all of the sudden a fire truck pulled out into the intersection and...new scenario.
Man, that was cool.

Volleyball at church is always fun. Nothing serious, just a group of people laughing it up.
Just curious - have either of you heard or seen the "Upward Basketball" program for churches? We are starting it this week and I am seriously looking forward to it!

Yes, I think it's a tremendous way to foster friendships and more importantly, point people to Christ.
It's great to be able to compete with people who are fun, friendly, and courteous.

I am really fired up about it. I get to coach a team, and will probably help with other stuff as well. The program seems just great. For example, stopping in practices and having devotions with the kids - could be really good.

The one we saw was a helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon, and a lot of the history of the area.
I've forgotten all the history. ;-) Just remember I was amazed how you could get soooo motion sick without actually moving. I'd probably have the same trouble with more recent first person shooter type games, now that the graphics are more realistic.
To: day10
As long as it's done right, with everyone knowing what it's about, I have no problem with it.
I don't like bait-and-switches, whatever the reason.

We are definitely aiming to keep it friendly and build the kids up rather than have tough competition.
