Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, NC. About 30 minutes from me. Beautiful area around the lake. Some of the stores in Chimney Rock have pics taken during the filming, and posted in the windows. Quiet little weekend getaway spot. (You are talking about Last of the Mohican's, right?)

I love NC. The mountains are beautiful. Travelled through at least once a year when a kid on the way to Grandparents in TN. The coast is beautiful, too. Grew up near Morehead City. My favorite place in the world is Cape Lookout.
