I have a Bushmaster pistol that wishes it had a short buttstock. looks cool with Aimpoint on top and tactical laser/light on bottom rail, but would be the balls with a short stock.

I may have to sell it to avoid temptation.

I hope it has a REAL effective flash suppressor. That's been one of my real concerns with both the FN 5,7 cartridge of the P90 and the 6,8 SPC from short barrels.

The original supressor was a hoot.

If a gang broke into the house at night and I fired one round, we'd have all had to sit down and wait for 15 -20 minutes until we could see again.

I got a nice one designed for night vision use and now it's hardly more flash than my .45. Surprisingly little recoil, too.

Hangs under a raincoat nice. Good for walking the dogs in the woods at night. In case you need a light or something.

It's the civilian version of the P90, the PS90.

" Will the Blackhawk P90 sling work with the carbine?"

Dunno. With the longer barrel, I think the sling your pic shows would be kinda hard on the family jewels. $8-0 Although having a Gemtech installed on the shorty barrel would give you a similar problem.

I like the 3-point sling setups better anyway. Although I haven't tried one on a P90 (at least, not yet).

Yep.

I have VZ-24 with matching serial numbers that my great-uncle brought back as a war trophy.

50-years in my grandmother's closet and its bore still sparkled after a couple of patches.

The sling had dry-rotted, so I replaced it with an M1907, and took it out shooting.

It was the first gun I took my nephew out with, and the experience turned him into a horrible sort of gun nut...

I'll have to admit, I squibbed on once too!...but I stopped and checked, so no harm done. After that, me and my "helper" weighed 800 rounds of .45ACP to make sure there were NO MORE squibs in that batch! We didn't find any. ;-)

Chk Freepmail...:-)

AKA, the *Stargate carry*. But the *pistolero position* [below] is a usable alternate, and better avoids having the muzzle occasionally point at your toes.

$8-0 Although having a Gemtech installed on the shorty barrel would give you a similar problem.

Also the same problem shared by Australian AusSteyer and Steyer AUG users. But worth the inconvenience for some for whom a bullpup offers other advantages. It's a tradeoff.

I like the 3-point sling setups better anyway. Although I haven't tried one on a P90 (at least, not yet).

Let me know how you like it once you've experimented a bit.

"but it's RAINING so i can't even go out and shoot it... 8^("

My Drill Instructor wouldn't even think about missing a day when it rained to encourage our outdoor learning skills. He tended to save the nice mid 60's weather for classroom stuff.

Cleaning a soaked rifle is no more difficult than a dry and dirty one. It just makes you a bit more thorough because you know about rust.

You can shoot in the rain, sleet, snow and heat. You can even shoot in the dark. Shooting is one sport that you can actually do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Beautiful... can't beat it for $90.00!!!

prolly part of the price increase is that mine has all matching numbers and virtually NO markings on it at all...!!!

every other one of them i've seen has the Crest rolled into the top of the receiver like yours does.

there's one small stamp inside the receiver, two smaller ones on the barrel band and one on the front site and that's it other than the serial number and the laser etch serial number on the barrel from Mitchell's.

i've read this version is called the B.O. which stands for "No Markings".

I have a battlefield pick-up courtesy of my father. It had to have the butt broken off to get it into a duffle bag and back into the states. About 40 years ago, I spent about $12 to buy a replacement stock for it from Sears and Roebuck (back before it became just "Sears") and manhandled the replacement. It was rough and unfinished but it fit. The M98 doesn't have the original bold so it has never fed ammo well but it shoots straight. A few years ago I took it down and went to work on the stock. It looks a lot better but I have to find someone who can make it feed 8MM from the magazine
