Subscribing to a magazine and then being blasted 30 years later by a bloated drunken senator for an article in that magazine that someone ELSE wrote.

I thought it was agreed upthread that there would be no more talk about poop.

I'll teach you how to brake check them.

;-)

That usually cures them - one at a time.

Mail in rebates. Why can't they just give me INSTANT rebates or at least ONLINE rebates?

People who no longer stand and remove their hats for the National Anthem. I usually go over and smack them on the back of the head and make them remove their hats.

My hubby would love you.
This is one of his also. Being in the military he was taught hat off head and stand straight for show of respect.
He struggles with this as we live in a state where almost everyone wants to wear a cowboys hat and keep it on during the National Anthem.
I have literally seen smoke come out of his head with anger over this.

Thanks, but I have my PhD in brake checking. :)

Wrote my dissertation on I-20 when some wingnut wouldn't get off my tail going 70 mph in the city limits.

When they announce it - I usually yell out "hats off" if I see people not reaching for them.

You know I'm first generation USA and am very patriotic.

Teenage boys and young men wearing ball caps indoors, even at restaurants.

The Navy broke me of that habit. I used to wear a ball cap everywhere. Now I feel uncomfortable to be "covered" indoors and instinctively remove my hat as soon as I cross through the door.

Abridged books. You take the trouble to read a novel and you want it chopped down by a book editor? BTW, I am STILL looking for the unabridged version of "Some Came Running" by James Jones. Even abridged it was perhaps the BEST look at life in small town (Illinois) America of the postwar era. However, I want to read it UNABRIDGED.

That's my fan club!

They love me! How else would you explain a group of people following me around and "listening" to my every word.

I'm starting to love the attention!

the a-sholes who blast hip hop out their windows at 3AM.

Why is it whenever you hear loud music whether emanating from someone's home or car, it is always hip-hop? You never hear country or rock blaring from somebody's car. It is always rap! Drives me nuts!

One of my pet peeves is pulling up next to someone's "thumping" vehicle where the music (again, always hip-hop) is playing so loud that my stomach shakes.

Here's one that could start a flame war. But I hope not since I am just stating it as one of my pet peeves... Smokers! Smokers who think smoking is good for them. Who claim it doesn't harm their children. Smokers who hang around outside a door I need to enter after I have just had a nice walk in the fresh air!

Don't mind if they confess they are addicted and are trying to quit, but to claim smoking has health benefits. ????

People with 11, 12, 13, 14+ items who go through the "10 items or less" lane at the grocery store. Seriously, this really ticks me off.
