Beatles 'Pepper' best albums list

Perhaps the first thing that leaps out is that it's a very Beatle-centric list. "Sgt. Pepper" is No. 1 as it often is in such lists, but two of the top three albums are by the Beatles, three of the first five and four of the first 10.
The first 10 are:
1) "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by the Beatles 2) "Pet Sounds" by the Beach Boys 3) "Revolver" by the Beatles 4) "Highway 61 Revisited" by Bob Dylan 5) "Rubber Soul" by the Beatles 6) "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye 7) "Exile on Main Street" by the Rolling Stones 8) "London Calling" by the Clash 9) "Blonde on Blonde" by Bob Dylan 10) "The Beatles" (The White Album) by the Beatles

I only own about 2500 albums. To say I have a favorite is a hard thing to do. Have been offered $1500 for "Electric Ladyland" Original album art, still has price tag on it and still in my collection. Excellent condition.

I never really was a PUNK fan, but they really woke me up to some things in life.

Sure is. When I used to make cassettes for friends, I used to add that 10-second little ditty many times. Something like an attention-getter.

Thanks. I may get flamed for saying this, but I do like old Neil Young, too.

The KIX played hard rock. I really liked the Ramones, it's sad almost all of them have died early.
To: old_sage_says
I have no problem with that opinion, Neil Young did some good stuff.
Do you by any chance have the old Atomic Rooster album? I used to listen to that a lot back in college... but it whas part of the collection I sold when I graduated.

Electric Ladyland is such an awesome album. I don't know what the original album art looks like. Did you know that it was Paul McCartney's first wife, Linda Eastman, who took all the photo's in the Ladyland album?
It is really hard to pick a favorite with so much good music around. A guy like you would have to do at least a "top 50" album selection to be happy. I need at least a "top 20" myself.

I liked Ramones as well, My buddy was a roadie in the early days.
Here is another band from that era, that left us shakin our heads but amazed.
