Actually it's no rule change at all, if you catch the ball while falling anywhere on the field you have to maintain possession all the way down. Center of the field, sideline, endzone, that's consistently the way to prove control in a falling reception.

yeah but that's a catch at the 40 yd line.

He would have been ruled down by contact.

That WASN'T a catch in the endzone.

Scrimage against pylons wearing the defensive uniforms of your opponent. Nothing where the teams combine for more than 1 point a minute is football, when playing football the other team puts out players that actually try to stop you from scoring, that didn't happen in the Rose Bowl.

No it wouldn't have. He didn't maintain control through the fall, that's not a completion anywhere on the field.

They beat them at home, after blowing a lead. Let's see if they do it in Seattle.

I hate that damned song !!!

I used to live in Pennsylvania. All I had to hear when I was growing up was either the stupid Steelers tunes or the Redskins tunes.

bleech....

So naturally I became a Browns fan.

There's nothing to translate. One of the things I despise about college "football" is the general lack of actual defense in their version of the game. Nobody ever seems to be able to get a stop. The Rose Bowl teams combined for 79 points in 60 minutes, a rather typical complete lack of defense by either team for a college "football" game. That's not football, at least not a type of football I'm willing to watch.
