I enjoyed the first hour as a sort of period piece. I loved the hyper version of the 1930s and the accurate portrayal of life at the moment. I'm into those kind of things.

The original has a more creepy element to it. Kong is a scary monster. In this one, he's much more sympathetic.

There is a small country store aroung here that has great meat

It just so happens that he store is on the way to my horseback riding lesson
so I stop in to check on the sales.
Rib -eye was on sale so I picked up a couple, about 1 1/2in thick,very tender,yummy!

Apackof2, I bet you would enjoy that as well if you haven't already seen it.

The only problem is picking, there are a lot of great toons

I enjoyed it - they did a pretty good job of sticking with the book. The CGI was a little distracting to me...made me wish I coulda seen it as a twelve year old. But overall, well made.

I want to see it again at some point. I'm always a little bugged by pacing when I see a book turned into a movie - things *have to* move so much faster than they do on paper, and it's a little hard to take in.
