I agree the cow should not be slaughtered today.
Of course, my reason is that the adrenalin released during the cow's flight will make the meat taste bad.
It needs some time to relax before it is killed and eaten to clear that out. This is also why it is important to kill a deer with the first, clean, shot, BTW. Flight makes them taste bad.

Ditto that. It's instinct for freedom should be honored. I'll go with that. A non-violent animal that desires its freedom. Like me. Almost makes me feel guilty for eating cows.
