A man is suing the federal government, alleging his $7,000 wedding ring was stolen as he passed through a security checkpoint at Logan International Airport.
John Wright, 51, says he and his wife were taking a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, in July when he placed the 1.53-carat diamond and gold ring in a plastic tub along with his Rolex watch and wallet.
Wright, of Tiverton, R.I., then placed the bin on the scanner conveyer belt as he and his wife, Janet, passed through the metal detector. When he retrieved his belongings, Wright said, the ring was missing.
"I hadn't even gone 15 feet on my vacation and I was robbed," said Wright, a health teacher in Somerset.
He said he alerted the three Transportation Security Administration screeners who were at the checkpoint, and they searched the conveyer belt without success.
Wright filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court last month after the TSA denied his claim seeking $7,000 to replace the ring. The lawsuit seeks reimbursement for the ring and attorney's fees.
Wright said he suspects one of the TSA screeners took the ring because there were no passengers in front of him as he went through the checkpoint with his wife, who was directly behind him.
Ann Davis, a spokeswoman for TSA, said she could not comment on the case, but said the agency does not tolerate workplace theft and aggressively investigates all complaints.

You're the one who has a comprehension problem. I suggest you retract your support of his post. Otherwise be lumped with him.

You're pretty quick to accuse me of not being able to read between the lines of his post but you'll notice he hasn't retracted it even after the distinction between Islam and jihadists has been made clear. Therefore I take him at his word. You should too unless he retracts. If you continue to support him you're in bed with him.
I am taking exactly your attitude and applying it where it genuinely belongs. If you need an education about what Islam is about (primarily killing off anything non-Islamic, in case you didn't know), just check the appropriate keywords ISLAM, MUSLIMS, TROP, RELIGIONOFPEACE, and so on.

But seriously, we should take it easy on saganite as it is apparent that he is genuinely unawares of what Islam is about. This is what is known as a "teachable moment".

I'm fully aware of what Islam preaches. You in turn preach the same thing in regard to Islam. Forcible conversion or extinction. If you condemn Islam you condemn yourself.

I fully understand your discomfort; it's not a pleasant situation to be in. But we are not in this position by our own choice, and if you value or love anything in life then you must resolve yourself to the only choice they have given us. Kill them, or die ourselves. Every possible middle ground has been tried and failed. Must I list the peoples and nations that Islam is right now making war upon to make this clear?
If you've got another solution I'd be quite eager to hear it. "Criminal prosecution" bought us 9/11, so I'm not going to buy into that one. Deterrence doesn't work against people who believe that they are promised eternal paradise if they die while trying to kill you. And treaties and truces are nothing to them but the opportunity to resupply, re-arm, and plot our deaths. What other option are we left with?

Hey! His wife was with him. Why didn't "I'm with stupid" stand guard while stupid went through the scan and let him retrive his rolex and diamond ring...then she could go throught the scan. Duh....
