Since the news is slow I just wanted to know if anyone watched the Sunday night movie I believe on CBS called Surrender Dorothy. It had all the PC stuff covered, homosexual, lesbian, adultry, drugs, sixties type mother etc. It was just awful and I did not watch it all. Wonder if any of ya'll caught any of it and what you thought.
What's CBS? :)
Sounds like the movie "The Family Stone"....
OK, no lesbians in that one.
Oh yeah Diane Keaton played the weird Mom/
I haven't heard yet from any mothers who lost children that they found this movie depicative of the grief of losing a child. Nor does anyone who loses child find that everything all works out and life returns to laughter and joy within 2 hours.
Perhaps for those who haven't lost a child, coping with child death is suitable fare for holiday season TV movie entertainment.
I watched a little of it and had to turn it off. What a bunch of crap. Yes, they covered all the bases, gay lovers, etc. It all has to be shoved down our throats constantly.
It was idiotic. IMHO.
I thought it sounded good and I usually like Keaton. After the first 5 minutes, I changed the channel. Besides all the obvious crap, the acting was horrible. From the first scene when the mother and daughter were comparing boyfriend snores........it was just BAD.
